In a boost to exports of organic products, a consignment of 10.20 MT of value-added products of organically certified gluten-free jackfruit powder & retort-packed jackfruit cubes were exported to Germany from Bengaluru yesterday via sea route. The has been processed in the APE jackfruit DA assisted packhouse owned by Phalada Agro Research Foundations (PARF), Bengaluru. APEDA registered PARFrepresents a group of 1500 farmers with a wide coverage of around 12,000 acres of farms. Berlin Airport plans to build additional terminal

The Berlin airport is all set to open in 2020 and an expansion is already planned in time to be completed for the opening. The airport, BER, has announced its plan to build another terminal before it’s opening date. With the new terminal, the airport will be able to handle an additional six million passengers every year. China’s Hainan offer ‘free visa’ for tourists from 59 countries

Hainan, a small southern island province of China, plans to offer visa-free on arrival for over 59 countries. According to media reports, the policy might come into force from 1st May in which the travellers are permitted to stay for over 30 days. As part of the new policy, individual tourist and groups from countries namely Britain, France, Germany, and the United States, can visit Hainan visa-free and stay there for up to 30 days on conditions. Foreign tourist arrival exceeds over 13.4 % in March 2018

It was a happy news for the tourism industry, as the foreign tourist arrival exceeds to over 13.4 per cent more than that of the previous year statistics. Foreign tourist arrival for the period of January-March 2018 was 31.27 lakh, while January-March 2017 recorded only 28.45 lakh arrivals. Rajasthan marks 10.50% rise in tourist arrivals

Rajasthan tourism marks a remarkable increase in tourist arrival, as in 2017 around 475.27 lakh, tourists visited the state which is higher in number when compared with the previous statistics. German Tourism Board accepts Bitcoin payments

The German National Tourism Board said it accepts cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin for its services. GNTB also intends to implement blockchain technologies in its finances. “We want to be a global innovation driver in the tourism industry. Services offered by the German National Tourism Board (GNTB) can now be paid in cryptocurrency.
