Ireland has been named one of the best countries in the world for experiences and top European country for experiences according to new TripAdvisor data. Britons claim the major portion of Ireland tourism

Britons become the top tourists who have visited Ireland, revealed a recent research, which states that one in four of the island’s foreign visitors are from the UK. It was in the third Annual Tourism Index, Europcar, Ireland revealed that 27 per cent of foreign tourists who visited Ireland last year came from UK. Americans stands second with 13 per cent. Ireland aims to attract 175,000 Chinese visitors by 2025

Tourism Ireland is planning to increase the number of the Chinese visitors to the island of Ireland to 175,000 by 2025. This will represent a 150 per cent increase over 2017 in the next eight years. Ireland registers 7.3% growth in overseas visitors

Ireland has registered more than 7.3 per cent growth during the January-April period, around 191,100 additional overseas arrivals when compared with the first four months of 2017. “North America continues to perform extremely well – with arrivals up +13.6 per cent, an extra 61,100 US and Canadian visitors. We’ve also seen excellent results from Mainland Europe, up over +12 per cent on January-April last year, with particularly strong performances from Germany (+24.3 per cent) and Italy (+21.9 per cent). According to a survey by LinkedIn, famous social networking site dedicated to business and employment-related services, had revealed that Indian’s prefer being happy besides health and money. Air France extends Cork operation to a year-round service

Air France announced that it will extend its Cork to Paris Charles de Gaulle service for the winter 2018/2019 season, linking Ireland’s South to the French capital, while also offering onward connections to up to 180 destinations worldwide. The Cork to Paris service is a new route on the Air France network, due to commence operation from 26 May 2018. The service, which was announced in January was originally scheduled to run through to the end of the summer season, finishing on 27 October. Expedia presents ‘campaign of the year’ accolade to Tourism Ireland

Expedia presented Tourism Ireland with its 2017 ‘campaign of the year’ accolade on the Ireland stand at ITB in Berlin. Last autumn, Tourism Ireland teamed up with Expedia to grow visitor numbers to Dublin during the shoulder and off-season months. The joint campaign ran for six weeks in Britain, the United States and key Mainland European markets, including Germany. It included video and online advertising, takeovers of the Expedia homepage in the various markets, as well as email marketing. Trips to Ireland increased by 3.6% in 2017

According to the Central Statistics Office, the total number of trips to Ireland in 2017 was 9,932,100, an increase of 3.6 per cent over 2016. There was an increase of 7.2 per cent in the number of overseas trips made by Irish residents in 2017 to 7.9 million.
