Vinod Kannan takes over as CEO at Vistara

Vinod Kannan took over as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vistara airline on Saturday, a statement said. Kannan replaced Leslie Thng who was the CEO from July 16, 2017, to December 31, 2021. IndiGo starts six new flights connecting Kanpur

IndiGo on Monday started six new flights connecting Kanpur with Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, a statement said. The airline said these flights will operate on all days except Sundays. SpiceJet announces launch of 28 new domestic flights

SpiceJet will launch 28 new domestic flights across the country from October 31 onwards, the airline said Monday. It will launch multiple new non-stop flights connecting the tourist hotspots of Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Udaipur in Rajasthan with key metros and cities as part of its new winter schedule, SpiceJet said in a statement. SpiceJet will also connect Bagdogra with Ahmedabad, Kolkata with Srinagar and add two new flights on the Bengaluru-Pune sector, it said. Qantas to start flights on Sydney-Delhi route from Dec 6

Australian airline company Qantas on Friday said it will start operating flights on the Sydney-Delhi route from December 6 onwards. Qantas said the Sydney-Delhi flight is its first commercial service between Australia and India in almost a decade. “Flights from Sydney to Delhi would operate via Darwin, while flights from Delhi to Sydney would operate nonstop,” the airline’s statement noted. SpiceJet on Wednesday said it has launched a revamped website with improved features to offer its customers superior experience. “The use of latest technology has helped ensure that SpiceJet’s system (revamped website) is fast, scalable and secure,” the private airline said in a statement. Vistara on Thursday launched a gift card that travellers can purchase for anywhere between Rs 250 and Rs 20,000, and customise it for recipients as per the gifting occasion, a statement said. No flights from India till July 15 – Emirates

Emirates has announced that it will not operate flights from India until the 15th of this month. The company had yesterday stated that it would not operate services from India until further notice. Earlier, Etihad and Air India had said they would not operate flights until July 21. UAE authorities have banned flights from India since April 24. The airline said in a statement that it had suspended the service, which was expected to resume this month.
