Vinod Kannan takes over as CEO at Vistara

Vinod Kannan took over as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vistara airline on Saturday, a statement said. Kannan replaced Leslie Thng who was the CEO from July 16, 2017, to December 31, 2021. In its statement, Vistara said Deepak Rajawat has been elevated to take up the role of Vistara’s Chief Commercial Officer from Saturday onwards. “Kannan started his stint with Vistara as the Chief Strategy Officer in June 2019 and took over as Chief Commercial Officer in January 2020 with responsibility for developing, executing, and sustaining Vistara’s corporate strategy and ensuring the airline’s commercial success,” it mentioned. Vistara launches gift card for travel on its flights

Vistara on Thursday launched a gift card that travellers can purchase for anywhere between Rs 250 and Rs 20,000, and customise it for recipients as per the gifting occasion, a statement said. Called Purple Ticket’, the gift card is an e-card that will remain valid for 365 days from the date of purchase, the statement by the airline noted. “The Purple Ticket has been developed in collaboration with Qwikcilver, a Pine Labs company that specialises in gift card retail solutions and has been seamlessly integrated with the Amadeus Airline Platform,” it noted. Vistara launches Mumbai to Maldives Non Stop flights

Vistara, one of India’s leading airline and full-service carrier, a joint venture of Tata group and Singapore Airlines, on 03rd March, inaugurated its non-stop flights between Mumbai, India and Malé, Republic of Maldives. Vistara commences services to Frankfurt from Delhi

Vistara, India’s finest full-service carrier and a joint venture of Tata  Group and Singapore Airlines, has inaugurated its non-stop flights between Delhi and Frankfurt, under the travel bubble agreement between India and Germany. The inaugural flight, operated by Vistara’s brand-new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, departed Delhi at 0330 hours (IST) today and landed in Frankfurt at 0755 hours (CET). Vistara to feature panasonic’s arc 3d inflight map application- world’s first 

Vistara Airlines has upgraded the map application in its inflight entertainment (IFE) system and launched Arc, Panasonic Avionics’ new, state-of-the-art, 3D inflight map application on its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Vistara and Singapore Airlines strengthen their partnership

Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Vistara, a joint venture between Tata Sons Private Limited and SIA, have signed a Commercial Cooperation Framework Agreement. This agreement will further strengthen SIA’s and Vistara’s existing partnership and enable them to offer seamless services to their customers by harmonising efforts incapacity planning, sales, marketing, joint fare products, customer services and operations. Vistara has announced a significant network expansion with the addition of 62 new flights to and from Mumbai and Delhi. Vistara adds 14 new flights in summer schedule

Looking at the spike in demand for air travel in the upcoming peak summer season, Vistara has announced an addition of 14 flights, for the period April 16 – July 15, 2019. Three new routes have been added for the specified duration— Mumbai – Bengaluru, Mumbai – Hyderabad, and Mumbai – Kolkata. Vistara gets govt nod to fly international routes

Vistara has received central government’s approval to launch international flights. Vistara, the joint venture between Tata and Singapore Airlines, is the fifth Indian carrier to ply on international routes. Post the approval, Vistara has sought permission to start operating on Delhi and Colombo route seven days a week.
