Air Asia and GoAir to operate from Trivandrum

Happy news for people of Trivandrum!. Budget airlines, AirAsia and GoAir to start operations from Trivandrum. The airlines have expressed interest in starting domestic service from Trivandrum International Airport. Air Asia will start services to Bengaluru, while Go Air will have daily flights to Mumbai. Currently, Air Asia do not have service from Trivandrum. However, they had operated from Trivandrum during the floods, when Kochi International Airport was temporary closed. Heavy rain in Delhi: Vistara offers alternative flight for passengers coming late

Heavy rain hit several parts of Delhi and adjoining areas today, 28th August 2018. Water clogging caused traffic jams in different parts of capital city. Kerala Floods: Vistara launches flights to Trivandrum from Delhi, Chennai

Vistara became the first airline to launch new flights to Trivandrum to evacuate passengers stuck in Kerala due to floods caused by unprecedented rains. “We are operating special flights to TRV (Trivandrum) in view of COK (Kochi) airport closure for the next three days. Flights will operate from DEL and MAA (Chennai). We do not normally operate to TRV, and have made special arrangements,” Vistara’s chief strategy and commercial officer tweeted today. Vistara plans services to Sri Lanka, Maldives and Thailand

With an aim to attract the leisure travellers out of India, Vistara plans to connect Sri Lanka and Maldives from Delhi and Thailand from Delhi and Kolkata before October this year. Vistara has applied to the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) for permissions to launch flights to connect these destinations. The airline plans to connect destinations in Bangladesh, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to Delhi and Singapore to Pune in the next phase. The new services will be through an Airbus 320 family aircraft. Vistara places $3.1 billion order for new flights

Indian airline Vistara is in the processes expansion in term of domestic and international flights. As part of their growth plans, they have placed orders for six Boeing Co 787 Jets and 13 Airbus SE A320neos valued at $3.1 billion at list prices. Vistara joins rival Jet Airways and low-cost carriers IndiGo and SpiceJet that have plans to grow their international operations to offset a highly competitive, price-sensitive domestic market. Vistara bans consumption of tobacco on flights

On a very positive note, the Vistara airlines has banned consumption of gutka (tobacco) on board its aircraft, possibly becoming the first Indian airline to do so. “At @airvistara, we take the environment seriously. The 50 per cent on board disposable plastics reduction and low emissions aircraft are just a start. Cleanliness at all times is part of our mantra. Domestic air traffic grows 26% in April

The domestic air traffic grew at a robust rate of 26 per cent in April with various airlines together carrying 11.5 million passengers, up from 9.1 million in the same month last year, as per government data. SpiceJet holds the top position once again in terms of seat utilisation per aircraft with 95.5 per cent seats being booked. It was followed by IndiGo (91.9 per cent), GoAir (89.5 per cent), Vistara (88.8 per cent), AirAsia (87.5 per cent), Jet Airways (85.6 per cent) and Air India (84 per cent). Vistara offers direct flight from Delhi to Chennai on Feb 15

Tata SIA Airline Limited, popularly known as Vistara, has declared the extension of Chennai to its bolster chain, composing it as the 22nd station for the airlines chain. From February 15, 2018, Vistara will have regular flight between Delhi and Chennai and boost the frequency to twice a day from March 1, 2018. Vistara will also offer daily direct flights from Chennai to Port Blair from March 1, 2018 onwards. Early bookings are now available across all channels. One-way fares for Delhi-Chennai (economy) class starts at Rs. 3, 099 (all inclusive) and Rs. 3, 699 (all inclusive) for Chennai-Port Blair.
