TIM projects to be completed in time-bound manner: Minister Riyas

Facilitation centre to be set up to fast track projects Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 11: All projects presented at the recent Tourism Investors Meet (TIM) organised by the Kerala Tourism Department in association with the industry will be completed in a time-bound manner through a single-window system. A facilitation centre will start functioning at the Department of Tourism by January 25 to fast track the project and a web portal by February 10 for the purpose, Kerala Tourism Minister Shri Mohamed Riyas said while presiding over a review meeting here. Kerala to bring out ‘Mission 2030’ master plan for tourism in 2024: Minister

Shri Riyas addresses tourism seminar at Keraleeyam Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 05: Tourism Minister Shri P A Mohamed Riyas today said the government will come up with a comprehensive master plan, ‘Mission 2030,’ for tourism sector next year. Corona impact: Centre to introduce thermal imagery equipment in airports and seaports

GIS mapping of disease hotspots to check spread of the virus The Central government has decided to enhance the level of preparedness to tackle the outbreak of the corona virus, by stepping up emergency measures. At an inter-ministerial meeting on Wednesday, the government said it would look to introduce universal screening at all international airports and seaports through use of thermal imagery equipment. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has been asked to work closely with state governments, including relevant district administration officials, to ensure compliance with screening protocols at integrated check-posts on India’s land borders.
