Scoot starts non-stop daily to Thiruvananthapuram from Singapore

Budget-carrier of Singapore Airlines, Scoot has launched its daily non-stop flight from Singapore to Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The airline also announced to cease its operations from Lucknow by June-end owing to weak demand on the route. The inaugural flight took off from Singapore on Tuesday with a 180-seater Airbus A320 aircraft at around 8:40 pm local time and reached the Thiruvananthapuram airport at around 10 pm local time, said the airline in a statement. Vistara gets govt nod to fly international routes

Vistara has received central government’s approval to launch international flights. Vistara, the joint venture between Tata and Singapore Airlines, is the fifth Indian carrier to ply on international routes. Post the approval, Vistara has sought permission to start operating on Delhi and Colombo route seven days a week. It is believed that Vistara has sought bilateral rights to Sri Lanka and slots from Delhi Airport for the same. The aircraft used for the Delhi-Colombo route would be Airbus A320. Tourism Australia and Singapore Airlines sign agreement to promote tourism

Singapore Airline to have more flights to New Zealand

Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand has decided to boost the Singapore-Auckland services by flying three daily flights. “Together we bring you more of New Zealand” stated Singapore Airlaine in an announcement in their official website. From 28 October 2018, Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand will jointly launch a third daily flight between Singapore and Auckland. Singapore Airlines plans to increase capacity from Delhi & Ahmedabad

Singapore Airlines (SIA) said it will be replacing its Boeing B777 with B787-10 on the Delhi-Singapore route by the end of October with an aim to increase seat capacity from India.  The SIA 787-10s are configured with 337 seats compared to the previous aircraft which had 266 seats. Singapore Airlines to launch world’s longest non-stop flight

Singapore Airlines is all set to launch the world’s first non-stop flight with almost 20 hours in the air, by the end of this year. Singapore Airlines’ newest plane, the Airbus A350-900ULR will connect Singapore to New York. On April 23, the plane had its first test flight, an almost five-hour round-trip that launched from the airframer’s assembly plant in Toulouse, France. The Ultra Long-Range will be able to fly a remarkable 11,160 miles, an increase of more than 1,800 miles over the standard A350.
