Russia lifts travel ban from India :  Finland, Vietnam and Qatar also in the list

Russia has lifted the travel restrictions, which were imposed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, from India. Russian Embassy today confirmed it via a tweet. On Monday, Russia lifted the travel ban that it had imposed last year in order to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus. Travelers from India, Finland, Vietnam, and Qatar will now be able to fly to Russia. PPE art brings smile to Moscow’s COVID patients

With medics and helpers covered in masks, medical glasses, and protective suits, it is sometimes hard to convey festive cheer to the patients on Moscow’s COVID-19 wards. But Leonid Krasner, who has been volunteering at a hospital since the first wave, has found a way with the colorful pictures he draws on the back of his overalls to help patients recognize him and bring a smile to those being treated. Russian tourists to be evacuated on Saturday

Russian tourists stranded in India will be evacuated on Saturday from Thiruvananthapuram. The evacuation by Ural Airlines will take place by 2 pm and the tourists have to register at Uday Suites, Shanghumugham at 7 am on the same day. The details have been shared to the tourists by the Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation in Thiruvananthapuram. The helpdesk contacts in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha and Ernakulam have been shared with the Russian consul. Visa-free entry to Russia for FIFA-2018 Fan ID holders

Great news for FIFA 2018 Fan ID holders! Holders of FIFA fan ID will be granted visa-free entry to Russia until the end of this year. Furthermore, family members and friends of the cardholders travelling with them may also be exempted from the requirement of visa to enter the country. Russia expects 15% foreign tourism boost after World Cup

The FIFA World Cup has helped “destroy stereotypes” about Russia and is expected to boost foreign tourism by 15 per cent as fans head home and spread the word that they had a great time, said Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets. “We expect a serious increase in the international influx (of tourists). Russia, China and Iran join visa on arrival list of Oman

Travellers from Russia, China and Iran can now enter the Sultanate of Oman without a pre-entry tourist visa. The move is an extension of new visa policy introduced by Oman in March including the new online application process. By this Oman joined its neighbour UAE in relaxing the visa policies for travellers from Russia and China in the recent years. China’s Hainan offer ‘free visa’ for tourists from 59 countries

Hainan, a small southern island province of China, plans to offer visa-free on arrival for over 59 countries. According to media reports, the policy might come into force from 1st May in which the travellers are permitted to stay for over 30 days. As part of the new policy, individual tourist and groups from countries namely Britain, France, Germany, and the United States, can visit Hainan visa-free and stay there for up to 30 days on conditions. Russia introduces new hyper-sonic missile

Russia, as part of strengthening their military power, had successfully tested the hypersonic missile that travels 10 times the speed of sound. The missile named ‘Kinzhal’ was deployed from a MiG-31 fighter jet that can hit the target more precisely. “The launch was normal; the hypersonic missile hit the preset target on the test site,” said the defence ministry. The missile got the name Kinzhal for its double-edged dragger design.
