Queensland to fund cryptocurrency start-up for tourism promotion
Queensland, second largest state of the Australian province, is planning to issue a grant to a crypto start-up as part of their innovation funding. As per the government statement, the state government will grant over $8.3 million to TravelbyBit digital currency payments platform for the travel and tourism industry. It is part of their Advance Queensland Ignite Ideas funding, which supports entrepreneurs in Queensland in developing their businesses. “The role of the company will be to enhance the number of inbound tourists to Central Queensland through selling travel offers with cryptocurrencies and creating more jobs,” said Kate Jones, Innovation Minister. ... ബാങ്കുകള്‍, ഇ-വാലറ്റുകള്‍ എന്നിവ വഴി ഇനി ബിറ്റ്കോയിന് ഉള്‍പ്പടെയുള്ള ക്രിപ്റ്റോ കറന്‍സികള്‍ വാങ്ങാനോ വില്‍ക്കാനോ കഴിയില്ല. വ്യക്തികള്‍ക്കോ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ക്കോ ക്രിപ്‌റ്റോകറന്‍സികള്‍ വാങ്ങാന്‍ പണം കൈമാറരുതെന്ന് ആര്‍ബിഐ ബാങ്കുകള്‍ക്ക് നിര്‍ദേശം നല്‍കി. നടപ്പ് സാമ്പത്തിക വര്‍ഷത്തെ പണ-വായ്പ അവലോകന യോഗത്തിലാണ് ആര്‍ബിഐ ഇതുസംബന്ധിച്ച തീരുമാനമെടുത്തത്. ഇതോടെ ക്രിപ്റ്റോകറന്സി ട്രേഡിങ് വാലറ്റുകളിലേയ്ക്ക് ഇടപാടിനായി ബാങ്കില്‍നിന്ന് പണം ട്രാന്‍സ്ഫര്‍ ചെയ്യാന്‍ കഴിയാതായി. നേരത്തെതന്നെ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ക്രിപ്റ്റോകറന്സി ഇടപാടുകള്‍ നിയമവിരുദ്ധമായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിലും ഇടപാട് തടസ്സപ്പെടുന്നത് ബാങ്കുകള്‍ നിയന്ത്രണം ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയതോടെയാണ്. ലോകത്തെ മറ്റ് കേന്ദ്ര ബാങ്കുകള്‍ അംഗീകരിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്ത ക്രിപ്‌റ്റോകറന്‍സികള്‍ക്കുമേല്‍ നിയന്ത്രണം കര്‍ക്കശമാക്കിയില്ലെങ്കില്‍ അത് രാജ്യത്തുനിന്ന് രഹസ്യമായി പണമൊഴുക്കാനുള്ള നൂതനമാര്‍ഗമായിമാറുമെന്നതുകൊണ്ടാണ് ആര്‍ബിഐ ഈ നിലപാട് സ്വീകരിച്ചത്.
German Tourism Board accepts Bitcoin payments
The German National Tourism Board said it accepts cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin for its services. ;മുംബൈ : ബിറ്റ് കോയിന്‍ വിനിമയവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് സംശയാസ്പദ ഇടപാടുകള്‍ നടന്നെന്ന് കരുതുന്ന ചില അക്കൌണ്ടുകള്‍ ബാങ്കുകള്‍ മരവിപ്പിച്ചു.സസ്പെന്‍ഡ് ചെയ്യാത്ത അക്കൌണ്ടുകള്‍ക്ക് നിയന്ത്രണം ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്തി. എസ്ബിഐ, ആക്സിസ് , എച്ച്ഡിഎഫ് സി, യെസ്, ഐസിഐസിഐ ബാങ്കുകളാണ് അക്കൌണ്ടുകള്‍ സസ്പെന്‍ഡ് ചെയ്തത്. ബിറ്റ് കോയിന്‍ ഇടപാടുകാരായ നൂറുകണക്കിന് പേര്‍ക്ക് ആദായ നികുതി വകുപ്പ് നോട്ടീസ് അയച്ചു. ക്രിപ്റ്റോകറന്സി ഇടപാട് നടത്തുന്ന എക്സ്ചെയ്ഞ്ചുകളില്‍ രാജ്യവ്യാപകമായി നടത്തിയ പരിശോധനയെത്തുടര്‍ന്നാണ്‌ നടപടി. 17 മാസത്തിനിടെ 22,400 കോടി രൂപയുടെ ഇടപാടാണ് ക്രിപ്റ്റോ എക്സ്ചെഞ്ചുകളില്‍ നടന്നതെന്ന് ആദായനികുതി വകുപ്പ് കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. യുവനിക്ഷേപകര്‍, റിയല്‍എസ്റ്റേറ്റ് രംഗത്ത് പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നവര്‍,സ്വര്‍ണാഭരണ ശാല ഉടമകള്‍ എന്നിവരാണ് ബിറ്റ്കോയിന് ഇടപാടുകാര്‍ ഏറെയും. മുംബൈ, ഡല്‍ഹി, ബംഗലൂരു, പുണെ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലായിരുന്നു പരിശോധന. ക്രിപ്റ്റോകറന്സി ഇടപാട് ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ നിരോധിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. എന്നാല്‍ ഇത് രാജ്യത്തിന് കനത്ത നഷ്ടമുണ്ടാക്കുമെന്നാണ് ആര്‍ബിഐയുടെയും ധന മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന്റെയും മുന്നറിയിപ്പ്. മാര്‍ച്ചില്‍ അര്‍ജന്റീനയില്‍ ചേരുന്ന ജി20 സമ്മേളനം ഇക്കാര്യം ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്തേക്കും
