Kenya Airways plans to launch flights from Nairobi to Rome, Italy and Geneva, Switzerland on its Boeing 787 Dream-liner four times a week starting in June this year. Kenya Airways previously operated to Rome and with the resumption of flights plus the addition of Geneva; this will bring the destinations Kenya Airways serves in Europe to 5. Switzerland’s tourism board has once again appointed Ranveer Singh as their brand ambassador to enhance the number of tourists form India. Bollywood block busters, Sangam, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Jab Tak Hai Jaan have showcased Bollywood’s fascination with Switzerland. Bahamas, commonly known as an archipelagic state, that consists of over 700 island chains is all set to conduct its 3rd annual Caribbean Aviation meet-up from 24th June at the capital city of Nassau in Bahamas. Rajasthan tourism marks a remarkable increase in tourist arrival, as in 2017 around 475.27 lakh, tourists visited the state which is higher in number when compared with the previous statistics. Around 16.10 lakhs arrivals, out of the total number were foreign tourists with the other half being domestic tourists. More foreign tourists are getting attracted to the state, which is filled with rich heritage and history in the form of forts, arts, festivals and architecture. Swiss National Park Swiss Tourism board is looking at the strong potential in medical tourism, and is eying UAE as a source market for medical tourism to Switzerland. “At the moment, it’s (medical tourism) less than 10 per cent of total visits to Switzerland. That’s why we see so much potential and opportunity to grow. We’re looking at the UAE because we already have substantial clientele who come to visit Switzerland,” said Martin Nydeggar, chief executive officer of Switzerland Tourism.
