India with Cuisine and Yoga at World Economic Forum

Prime Minister Narendra Modi to exhibit Indian desi cuisine and yoga as part of the annual meeting of World Economic Forum at Davos in Switzerland.

The 48th World Economic Forum will be attended by over 3000 global leaders as well as people in the field of politics, art and academics. Indian delegates will be the largest in number with over 130 representatives present.

The summit themed ‘Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World’ will be inaugurated by WEF Chairman Klaus Schwab.

WEF also represents annual ‘Crystal Awards’, and the winners of this year are superstar Shahrukh Khan, Australian actress Cate Blanchett and legendary musician Elton John for their commitment in improving the state of the world.

This year India will be conducting the welcome reception with Indian cuisine followed by yoga. On Tuesday Prime Minister Modi will address the function with India’s vision on opening global economy for investors to boost economic growth.

During the visit, Modi will also arrange meetings with CEOs  across the globe for arranging suitable business environments. Other Ministers of the cabinet participating in the forum includes Arun Jaitley, Suresh Prabhu, Piyush Goyal, Dharmendra Pradhan, MJ Akbar and Jitendra Singh.

CEO members in the forum include Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, Azim Premji, Rahul Bajaj, N Chandrasekaran, Chanda Kochhar, Uday Kotak and Ajay Singh.

  1. US President Donald Trump will deliver the closing address of the function. Other global leaders including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, French President Emmanuel Macron, UK Prime Minister Theresa May and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will also be present at the summit.
