SpiceJet launches 10 new UDAN flights, 8 connecting Gwalior

SpiceJet has launched eight new daily direct flights to Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh under UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) scheme. Gwalior will be SpiceJet’s 11th destination under the regional connectivity scheme. In addition to the eight new flights to Gwalior, SpiceJet has also announced four new daily flights connecting Bhopal including the Bhopal-Udaipur UDAN flight. GoAir launches direct flight to Abu Dhabi & Muscat from Kannur

Budget carrier GoAir has launched direct flight operations to Abu Dhabi from Kannur International Airport today. It has already commenced direct flight operations to Muscat from Kannur yesterday. UAE airlines cancel flights from Dubai, Abu Dhabi to Pakistan

A number of Emirates flights to/from Pakistan and Afghanistan on 27 and 28 February have been cancelled due to the closure of Pakistani and Afghanistan air space. “We are sorry for any inconvenience caused to our customers. The safety of our passengers and crew is of the utmost importance and will not be compromised,” said the airlines. Dubai Airports has also confirmed that flights to and from Pakistan have been impacted until further notice due to the closure of Pakistani airspace. Air Canada suspends flights to India

Air Canada has suspended flights to Mumbai and New Delhi after two Indian fighter jets were shot down by Pakistani military in an escalating crisis between India and Pakistan. As per media reports, the airline diverted a flight en route to New Delhi over the Atlantic Ocean and landed back in Toronto. A second flight from Vancouver to New Delhi was also cancelled. However, a flight from Toronto to Mumbai is still scheduled to run tonight because it takes a different route from the New Delhi flights. IndiGo to launch flights to China, Myanmar, Saudi and Vietnam

India’s budget carrier IndiGo is planning services to China, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Myanmar among other countries as part of its efforts to expand its international network. The carrier also has plans to start services to Turkey and Commonwealth of Independent States countries. IndiGo also plans to add frequencies in existing routes. Israeli airline Arkia to fly direct from Tel Aviv to Goa and Kochi

Israeli airline Arkia will launch direct flights to two new routes to India starting from September 28, 2019. The carrier will begin non-stop flight operations from Tel Aviv to Goa and Kochi with 220 seats and a full flight service on board. With one-way duration of seven hours, Arkia will fly once a week to Goa on Tuesdays and twice a week to Kochi on Mondays and Fridays. Emirates to link Phnom Penh and Bangkok with daily service from Dubai

Emirates said it will link Phnom Penh (PNH) and Bangkok (BKK) with a new daily service set to launch on June 1, 2019. The service from Dubai to Phnom Penh, via Bangkok, will provide passengers travelling between the capital cities of Cambodia and Thailand with more flight options.
