One Night One Dollar! Thailand invite tourists to Phuket

Phuket, Thailand’s most popular tourist destination and city, is set to attract a large number of tourists. Thailand, which is slowly returning to its former glory after covid, has begun preparations to receive tourists to Phuket from July 1. For that, a hotel room will be prepared for travelers for one dollar (approximately Rs. 72). The government has introduced a new scheme called ‘One Night One Dollar’. Thailand offers Yacht quarantine to fish tourists

Tourists to Thailand can now spend their mandatory two-week coronavirus quarantine on a luxury yacht, as part of a bid by the government to revive the country’s tourism industry, which is the major source of income for the country. Thai government’s Digital Economy Promotion Agency, along with partners including top telecom group Advanced Info Service, jointly announced the yacht quarantine program earlier this week. Merry Fishmas –Santa’s surprise visit to Thai Aquarium

A big surprise was awaiting visitors at an aquarium in Thailand this week when Santa Claus swam by, carrying a sack full of food and surrounded by scores of curious fish. The aquarium at the basement of the Bangkok shopping mall was not the place, the families were expecting to see Santa Claus, equipped with fins, an oxygen tank, and a dive mask. Thailand to offer ‘Special Tourist Visa’ to visitors from around the world

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has shared the update that the Royal Thai Government is now allowing long-stay visitors from around the world to apply for the ‘Special Tourist Visa’ (STV), previously available only to travellers from countries considered low- to medium-risk for the COVID-19 pandemic. Published in the Royal Thai Government Gazette on 9 December 2020, with immediate effect, this latest announcement covers long-stay visitors to Thailand of all types – from tourists to business travellers, investors and others, as well as travellers and crews of foreign yachts. Bangkok questions its own mass tourism model

Bangkok tourist destination Khao San Road is usually heaving with people on weekends, its cheap beer bars, tattoo parlours, street vendors, hostels and buzzing nightlife drawing budget travellers and tour groups alike. Hilton to launch two new properties in Bangkok by 2022

With an aim to expand its presence in Thailand, Hilton has announced its plans to launch two new properties in Bangkok by 2022. Both the hotels will be in the Thai capital of Bangkok, and will form part of Hilton’s expansion into this territory, joining seven hotels currently in the pipeline. Currently, the brand operates eleven properties across Thailand and is looking to expand beyond the country’s central areas of concentration, Phuket and Bangkok, to areas including Chiang Mai and Krabi. AirAsia India to fly international by October

AirAsia India is planning to start international operations by October this year, said Sanjay Kumar, Chief Operating Officer of the airline. “Our plan is to first fly to the Southeast Asian market and start with flights to Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. Our target is that we will fly about 7-8 per cent of our total available seat kilometres to international locations in the first year of operations,” he said. Emirates to link Phnom Penh and Bangkok with daily service from Dubai

Emirates said it will link Phnom Penh (PNH) and Bangkok (BKK) with a new daily service set to launch on June 1, 2019. The service from Dubai to Phnom Penh, via Bangkok, will provide passengers travelling between the capital cities of Cambodia and Thailand with more flight options. The new service will be operated with an Emirates Boeing 777 aircraft. TAT invites visitors to observe longest fireworks display ever staged

The Tourism Authority of Thailand will organise the longest fireworks display ever staged along Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River as part of celebrations to mark the arrival of the New Year at midnight on 31st December 2018.
