Araku forests will soon be open for tourists at night

The Andhra Pradesh Tourism department is planning to introduce night vihar, a unique tourism package that will allow tourits to trek throught the wilderness of Visakhapatnam. On a pilot basis, the Araku forests will be made accessible for tourists at night. Representatives of the forest department and the tourism department will escort the tourists for night forest tours to ensure safety. The night vihar wil be arranged on jeeps and the authorities have ensured that the safety of the tourists is prime important. Singapore’s Scoot to begin operations in Coimbatore, Trivandrum and Visakhapatnam

Singapore’s low-cost airlines, Scoot, is all set to strengthen its presence in India with the addition of new services to Coimbatore, Trivandrum and Visakhapatnam. Scoot will be the only airline operating direct non-stop flights from Trivandrum and Visakhapatnam to Singapore. Flights from Trivandrum to Singapore will commence on May 7, 2019, and flights from Coimbatore and Visakhapatnam will start from October 27, 2019, subject to regulatory approval. In India, Scoot already operates seven existing routes from Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Lucknow, and Tiruchirappalli. AirAsia to launch Vizag-Bangkok flights from Dec 8

Low-cost air carrier AirAsia has announced the launch of a new flight service connecting Visakhapatnam and Bangkok. The service, which begins from December 8, will operate on four weekdays from Vizag to Bangkok (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) and the return flights from Bangkok to Vizag would be on Monday, Wednesday. Entry to all tourist spots free at Visakhapatnam today

The district authorities have made the entry to all tourists spots in Visakhapatnam free on the occasion of World Tourism Day today. The District Tourism Council has lined up several programmes for the celebrations. The theme for this year is ‘Tourism and the Digital Transformation’. Gulf visa centres, passport printing to come up in Krishna district

Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district is soon to have passport printing and Gulf visa application centres soon. “Once we get the passport printing facility here we can get passports printed and delivered quickly. Also, we are going to get visa centres of the Gulf countries. People travelling to the Gulf will be spared the trouble of visiting other States to get visas,” Krishna Collector B Lakshmikantham explained the plans. Aircraft museum attracts visitors

Indian Navy aircraft TU-142M in Visakhapatnam, that has been turned out into a museum attracts visitors, as part of the ongoing summer vacation. The structure is located opposite to the famous Submarine museum at RK Beach road in Visakhapatnam. About 1600 to 1800 visitor footfalls on weekdays and 3000 to 3200 on weekends are marked by the museum authorities.
