Pravin Kumar takes charge as CEO of APTA and MD of APTDC

Pravin Kumar IAS has assumed charge as Chief Executive Officer, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority (APTA) & Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) on 24th June 2019. A 2006 batch officer, Pravin Kumar earlier served as the District Collector & District Magistrate for West Godavari District before assuming as CEO, APTA & MD APTDC. APTDC to set Guinness record by preparing longest ‘Pootharekulu’

Pootharakulu Sweet AP Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) is all set to prepare the largest ‘pootharekulu’, a traditional sweet from Andhra Pradesh, and set a Guinness record on Thursday. APTDC is hosting this event at the Berm Park, aiming spreading the name of the traditional sweet around the world.  The process of making the 10 meter Pootharekulu will start in the morning and go on till the evening. APTDC plans to promote ‘bongu biryani’ and ‘bongu chicken’

Food lovers will soon to have the spicy flavours for ‘bongu biriyani’ and ‘bongu chicken’ (dishes made in bamboo logs), in Kadapa and Tirupati. As an initiative by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC), Chefs from both private and public sector restaurants in the districts had a training programme to cook ‘bongu biryani’ and ‘bongu chicken’, delicious dishes popular in local Andhra Pradesh. IATO annual convention to be held at Visakhapatnam in September

The 33rd IATO convention held in Odisha The four-day 34th annual convention of Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) will be held at Hotel Novotel in Visakhapatnam from September 6 to 9. Tourism Minister KJ Alphons would inaugurate the convention on September 6.  The association will also organize  ‘IATO Run for Responsible Tourism’ on September 7 at 6 AM, starting from Beach Road, followed by panel discussions regarding tourism promotion in the State and domestic markets. “IATO meet was being organised for the first time in the State. Four new Volvo buses to be launched in Andhra

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will launch 4 new Volvo buses of AP Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) at the Secretariat today. With the launch of new buses, the total bus fleet of the APTDC will be 36. The Corporation has 32 coaches, including 4 volvo, 2 Mercedes Benz, 5 AC Hitech, 9 AC mini buses, 12 non AC/ Hitech and 4 Innova vehicles. Tourism kiosk opens at Tirupati railway station

Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) has opened an information counter at the first platform of Tirupati railway station. The kiosk was inaugurated by APTDC Chairman V Jayarami Reddy in the presence of Tirupati Station Director K Satyanarayana. “The counter will be of immense use to pilgrims who visit Tirupati. They can get entire information about all tourism destinations in the state from the counter and plan their programmes during their pilgrimage,” Jayarami Reddy said.
