One Night One Dollar! Thailand invite tourists to Phuket

Phuket, Thailand’s most popular tourist destination and city, is set to attract a large number of tourists. Thailand, which is slowly returning to its former glory after covid, has begun preparations to receive tourists to Phuket from July 1. For that, a hotel room will be prepared for travelers for one dollar (approximately Rs. 72). The government has introduced a new scheme called ‘One Night One Dollar’. Phuket enters shutdown mode

Phuket, the tourism magnet of Thailand, is entering the shutdown phase from Monday. Transportation to the island will be banned, and the lockdown will last for a month. Phuket Governor Pakkapong Taweepat has said boats, cars and trucks providing essential goods and services are exempted. Last week the government had imposed emergency rules and now the decision to enter the lockdown phase is a clear indication that the country is in a very cautious mode, as it fights the epidemic. Thailand to announce stimulus package to woo Chinese tourists

Somkid Jatusripitak, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand said on Saturday, 27th October 2018 that new measures will be announced next month to lure tourists back to the country, especially those from China. Somkid said measures in the package would include a tax measure for jewellery purchases, a tourism package with free flights to second-tier tourist provinces and a waiver fee for visa-on-arrival. “The cabinet to approve a stimulus package in the second half of November. Thai beach closes to allow recovery of the eco-system

Maya Beach – crowded with tourists and speed boats Maya Bay, on Phi Phi Leh island in the Andaman Sea of Thailand, which was the set for the Hollywood film ‘The Beach’, has closed indefinitely to give its ecosystem to recover. The beach has become famous after the shooting of the film acted by Leonardo DiCaprio. Etihad, Emirates to curb operations to UK, Asia, Australia

UAE’s two leading international airlines, Emirates and Etihad, have confirmed the temporary reduction and suspension of services to a number of its global destinations during the summer and autumn periods. Emirates is set to reduce its Dubai to Fort Lauderdale and Dubai to Orlando services from daily to five times a week from early July. Emirates is also set to slightly reduce its services to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpar, Phuket, Munich and London Heathrow in the coming months.
