The UAE cabinet has approved a new self-sponsored Remote Work Visa that will enable employees from all over the world to live and work remotely from the UAE, even if their companies are based in another country. The one-year visa allows foreigners to enter the UAE and work in line with terms and conditions issued with the visa. The new scheme aims to support the public and private sector, and also enables employees to expand their digital skills and adapt to the emerging gig economy. As part of the government’s anti-corruption drive, Ministry of Interior decided to make its visa extension facility online. With ‘Pakistan Online Visa System’, the ministry is set to launch the project within the next 2 weeks. The ministry has proposed the online visa programme to the Prime Minister’s Office as part of the government’s efforts to curb corruption in the offices dealing with the public. Meiktila-Taung Gyi Elephant Camp Tourists from China, Japan and South Korea will be able to travel to Myanmar without a visa from October 1, 2018 onwards. The new approach, which aims to encourage tourism to Myanmar, was announced by Vice President U Henry Van Thio at the Myanmar Tourism Conference. The visa free entry will be introduced as a one-year trial. Myanmar currently does not require tourist visas for travellers from eight fellow members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The Government of India has announced a three-year visa for Bangladeshi students who are willing to study in the country under a newly signed bilateral agreement. The students will immediately get a minimum three-year visa, said Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh. Shringla said Bangladeshi students wishing to study in India and their parents will get three-year visas immediately after their enrollments. The ministers launched the new integrated state-of-the-art Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC), by handing over passports with Indian visas to a couple of visa applicants. Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea project said it will offer visas on arrival for overseas visitors following the creation of a company to deliver the ambitious project. The project marked a milestone recently with its incorporation as a standalone closed joint-stock company, The Red Sea Development Company (TRSDC), wholly owned by the country’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). The newly-incorporated company will now move forward with the creation of its Special Economic Zone, with its own regulatory framework, it said in a statement. രാജ്യത്തേക്കുള്ള വിദേശ വിനോദ സഞ്ചാരികളുടെ വരവ് വര്‍ധിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ ദീര്‍ഘകാല വിസകളടക്കമുള്ള നിര്‍ദേശങ്ങള്‍ മുന്നോട്ടുവെച്ച് കേന്ദ്ര ടൂറിസം മന്ത്രാലയം. മൂന്നു വര്‍ഷത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ വിദേശ ടൂറിസ്റ്റുകളുടെ വരവ് ഇരട്ടിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ ദീര്‍ഘകാല വിസകള്‍ അവതരിപ്പിക്കല്‍, ചില മേഖലകളിലേക്കുള്ള യാത്രാ നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങളിലുള്ള ഇളവുകള്‍, പ്രമുഖ വിനോദ സഞ്ചാര മേഖലകളിലേയ്ക്ക് കൂടുതല്‍ വിമാന സര്‍വീസുകള്‍ തുടങ്ങിയ നടപടികളാണ് ശുപാര്‍ശ ചെയ്യുന്നതെന്ന് കേന്ദ്ര ടൂറിസം മന്ത്രി അല്‍ഫോന്‍സ്‌ കണ്ണന്താനം പറഞ്ഞു. നിലവില്‍ രാജ്യം മള്‍ട്ടിപ്പിള്‍ എന്‍ട്രി വിസകള്‍ നല്‍കുന്നുണ്ട്. യുഎസിലും മറ്റു രാജ്യങ്ങളിലും ഉള്ളപോലെ അഞ്ച്, പത്ത് വര്‍ഷത്തേക്കുള്ള വിസയാണ് ഇവിടെ ആവശ്യം. ഈ ആവശ്യമുന്നയിച്ച് വിവിധ മന്ത്രാലയങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് കത്തെഴുതുമെന്ന് മന്ത്രി വ്യക്തമാക്കി. നിലവില്‍ 60 ദിവസമാണ് ഇന്ത്യയിലെ വിസ കാലാവധി. 2017ല്‍ രാജ്യത്തേക്കുള്ള വിദേശ വിനോദ സഞ്ചാരികളുടെ വരവ് 15.7 ശതമാനം വര്‍ധിച്ച് 10 ദശലക്ഷത്തില്‍ എത്തിയിരുന്നു. ടൂറിസ്റ്റുകളുടെ എണ്ണത്തിലുള്ള വളര്‍ച്ചയുടെ ആഗോള ശരാശരി അഞ്ച് ശതമാനമായിരിക്കെയാണ് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ മികച്ച പ്രകടനം. അടുത്ത 10 വര്‍ഷത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ 10 ദശലക്ഷം ...
