Oman commences five-city tourism roadshow

Oman’s Ministry of Tourism (MoT) has commenced its multi-city roadshow on October 7, beginning with Qatar’s capital Doha. The Tourism Ministry is also conducting mobile promotional workshops during the five-city roadshow. The workshops, set to take place in Kuwait, Jeddah, Riyadh and Dubai as well. The roadshows and workshops will be attended by Omani tourism companies including Oman Air and SalamAir. The ministry has coordinated with its representative offices to invite about 100 tourist companies and institutions, in addition to the local media in the host countries. Floating Market in Pengkalan Tok Kuning, is the new tourist attraction in the state of Perils, Malaysia, by offering experience like traveling abroad. Ghost village in Switzerland to become ‘scattered hotel’

AirAsia to launch Vizag-Bangkok flights from Dec 8

Dudhsagar waterfalls is now open to public

The authorities have officially opened the Dudhsagar waterfalls, situated deep within the Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary. The new season commenced on Tuesday with 1,127 tourists recorded on day one. The all-terrain vehicles ferrying passengers to and fro needs prior permission from the forest department. This season, almost 431 such vehicles have been registered with the state wildlife board. The forest department has restricted the number of trips by the all-terrain vehicles to 170 per day during weekdays and 225 per day on weekends. The 66th edition of the Nehru Trophy boat race will be held on November 10, Finance Minister T M Thomas Isaac has said. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Nehru Trophy Boat Race Society (NTBRS) held at the collectorate in Alappuzha today. “We have decided to organise the boat race in November. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park reopens after 134 days

Photo Courtesy: NPS Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, which houses one of the world’s most active volcanoes, and the world’s most massive shield volcano, has reopened after being closed for more than four months. Kilauea volcano, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, situated in the park, erupted in May 2018 and caused widespread damage to park infrastructure and dramatically changed its landscape. Colombo, Sri Lanka Havas Media India together with their local partner in Sri Lanka, Agxa Pvt. Ltd., has been assigned to handle the digital media promotion activities for Srilanka Tourism.
