Kerala Budget earmarks Rs 372 cr for tourism; Rs 82 cr for marketing; Rs 132 cr for infra development

Out of the total budget allocated for tourism, Rs 82 crore will be earmarked for tourism marketing. “The most important aspect regarding the growth of tourism industry is effective marketing. Entrepreneurship has increased because of the marketing efforts carried out under the leadership of the government. Nehru Trophy boat race to be held on Nov 10
The 66th edition of the Nehru Trophy boat race will be held on November 10, Finance Minister T M Thomas Isaac has said. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Nehru Trophy Boat Race Society (NTBRS) held at the collectorate in Alappuzha today. “We have decided to organise the boat race in November. This will help to revive the flood-hit tourism sector and Kuttanad,” the minister said. നെഹ്റുട്രോഫി ബോട്ടുറേസില്‍ ഏറ്റവും മികവ് പുലര്‍ത്തുന്ന ഒമ്പത് ചുണ്ടന്‍ വള്ളങ്ങളായിരിക്കും കേരള ബോട്ട് ലീഗിന്റെ ഭാഗമായുള്ള മത്സരങ്ങളിലും മാറ്റുരയ്ക്കുകയെന്ന് ധനകാര്യ വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി ഡോ.ടി.എം.തോമസ് ഐസക് പറഞ്ഞു. 66ാമത് നെഹ്റുട്രോഫിക്ക് മുന്നോടിയായുള്ള ജനറല്‍ ബോഡി യോഗത്തില്‍ സംസാരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു മന്ത്രി. കേരള ബോട്ട് ലീഗ് ഈ വര്‍ഷം ആരംഭിക്കും. നെഹ്റു ട്രോഫി വള്ളംകളിയില്‍ നിന്ന് ആരംഭിച്ച് കൊല്ലം പ്രസിഡന്റ് ട്രോഫിയില്‍ അവസാനിക്കുന്ന വിധമായിരിക്കും ക്രമീകരണം. അതിനായി പ്രത്യേകം യോഗ്യതാമത്സരങ്ങള്‍ ഇല്ല. നെഹ്റുട്രോഫിയില്‍ എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും പങ്കെടുക്കാന്‍ അവസരം നല്‍കുമെന്ന് മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. ടൂറിസം വകുപ്പാണ് കെ.ബി.എല്ലിന് നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കുക. ക്രിക്കറ്റ് താരം സച്ചിന്‍ ടെന്‍ഡുല്‍ക്കര്‍ ഇത്തവണ നെഹ്റു ട്രോഫിക്ക് മുഖ്യാതിഥിയായി പങ്കെടുക്കാമെന്ന് ഉറപ്പ് നല്‍കിയാതായും മന്ത്രി യോഗത്തെ അറിയിച്ചു. പണം കൊടുത്ത് വള്ളംകളി കാണാനെത്തുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് പ്രത്യേക മേഖല തിരിച്ച് എല്ലാ സൗകര്യങ്ങളും നല്‍കുമെന്ന് ധനമന്ത്രി ജനറല്‍ ബോഡി യോഗത്തില്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. നെഹ്റു ട്രോഫിക്ക് ഓണ്‍ലൈന്‍ ബുക്കിംഗ് സൗകര്യം ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്തുന്നുണ്ട്. വിവിധ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്ന് ബുക്ക് ...
