Meghalaya to have AYUSH Centers to promote wellness tourism

Sohra Town, Meghalaya As part of the state’s efforts to provide better health care facilities to the people, Meghalaya government is setting up an Ayush Hospital at Wahshari, Sohra (Cherrapunji). Alexander Laloo Hek (AL Hek), Health and Family Welfare Minister, has laid the foundation stone for the 50-bed Integrated AYUSH Hospital on Saturday, 17 November 2018. Tourists in Goa can now ride on e-bikes

As part of the State’s policy to boost sustainable tourism, Goa has introduced electric bikes (e-bikes) for tourists who visit Goa. The programme, first-of-its-kind in India, as claimed by the officials, were launched by the tourism minister Manohar Azgaonkar and Chairperson of the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) Dayanand Sopte on Friday, 16th November 2018. IndiGo launches flight between Allahabad and Bengaluru

IndiGo has launched non-stop flights between Allahabad and Bengaluru at a starting all-inclusive price of Rs 2,500. The flight started from Bengaluru on Thursday at 1:30 pm and reached Allahabad at 4:10 pm. The flight started from Allahabad at 4:40 pm and reached Bengaluru at 9:00 pm, an airline release said. With this new connectivity, Allahabad-Bengaluru has become the sixth RCS (Regional Connectivity Scheme – UDAN) route and the 60th destination on IndiGo’s network. Israel envisages new services to woo more Indian tourists

Israel’s Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) is planning to increase its services in Kerala to woo more tourists from the state to the Jewish state. Hassan Madah, IMOT – India and Philippines- Director was in Kochi on Thursday, 15th November 2018, as part of a road-show to promote Israel’s tourism. Fully automated self bag drop system at Bengaluru airport

You don’t have to wait for long to check-in your baggage at the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, anymore. The whole process of baggage check-in will take only 45 seconds from now on as the airport has deployed fully-automated self bag drop machines at the airport. The self bag drop machines will accelerate the baggage transaction and reduce check-in queues. Hockey World Cup: 3D murals adorn walls of Bhubaneswar city

As part of the beatification programmes of the capital city on the occasion of the Men’s Hockey World cup, a team of four international artists were assigned by the authorities for painting 3D murals on five walls Bhubaneswar. Tracy Lee Stum from Southern California and her team members Julio, G Dler and Ana Ronen painted murals in five different areas of the city. EME of the Indian Army on way to Guinness World Record

Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers of the Indian Army has undertaken a unique Ultra Cycling Expedition as part of its Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The Expedition was flagged off on 15 Aug 2018 from Secunderabad and will cover a distance of 25,000 kilometres across the country passing through all states, attempting at creating the Guinness World Record of most extended distance cycling through the country. Ban on night stay at Corbett Tiger Reserve affects tourism

Tourists visit in the Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR) has declined to more than half after the high court order banning night stay at the forest rest houses and restricted movement of vehicles in the reserve area.
