New four-line flyover at Dhaula Kuan interchange to be inaugurated today

Dhaula Kuan interchange Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, will inaugurate a four-lane flyover at Dhaula Kuan junction near Dhaula Kuan Metro Station on NH 8 today. The flyover is expected to reduce waiting time at the traffic light by 30 minutes at peak hours. This is the first step towards development of an eight-lane, signal free Dhaula Kuan – Airport corridor, as stated in a press release by Ministry or Road Transport and Highways. Himachal Pradesh to have highway projects worth 4,419 crores

Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, laid the foundation stones for seven National Highway projects worth over Rs 4,419 crore in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra on Sunday. From the inaugural function Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda and the Minister of the province, all MPs and MLAs were present on the occasion. Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Nitin Gadkari said at Prayagraj Kumbh that water of river Ganga will be completely clean by March 2020. Gadkari to lay foundation for India’s largest Dry Dock in Kerala

The Union Minister for Shipping, Road Transport & Highways, Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation Nitin Gadkari and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will lay the foundation for India’s largest Dry Dock at Cochin Shipyard in Kerala tomorrow. The Dry Dock will give an impetus to “Make in India” initiative under Sagarmala and raise India’s share in global shipbuilding to 2 percent. India currently occupies 0.66 per cent share in global shipbuilding market. Union ministry may consider waiver of GST for cruise tourism

The Union Ministry may consider reduction or waiver of GST (Goods and Service Tax) for cruise tourism service. It was announced by the Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport, Shipping and Highways. He was speaking at the first international conclave for global cruise tourism in India held on 30th August 2018. “The matter may be discussed in the coming GST financial meeting presided by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley,” said the minister. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Jakarta and talks are already on to develop a cruise tourism circuit between Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Indonesia as part of steps to bolster bilateral ties.
