Oman Air has launched a new flight from Muscat to the Moroccan city of Casablanca today. Oman Air is looking into further expanding its fleet and destination network as the airline continues to grow its operations out of its hub in Muscat. The new route comes after Oman Air’s most recent service inaugurated to Istanbul on June 1 and ahead of its winter launch to Moscow planned to take place in October 2018. The app is in final stages of testing in actual conditions. 2800 licensed taxi drivers in Goa have already expressed interest in using the app and the number is expected to grow further as passenger demands swell. Aiming to boost tourism in the state, Odisha Government is planning to launch a luxury train service in line with “Palace on Wheels.” The announcement came after a discussion between the Odisha Chief Secretary A P Padhi and Sanjiv Garg, additional member of the Railways (Tourism and Catering),  on June 28. “The railways had a word with the state government to introduce luxury trains in lines with the Palace on Wheels. Srinagar-Jammu highway reopened on Saturday, 30th June, after remain closed for a day due to landslide and shooting stones caused by heavy rains. Closing of the 300 Km long passage connecting Kashmir to the rest of country adversely affected the traffic, including the Amarnath pilgrimage, which started recently.

Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) said it has recommenced its white water rafting activity on Mhadei river till September this year. There will be two rafting trips held each day with the first trip starting at 9:30 am and the second at 2:30 pm. Each trip will go on for 2.5 to 3.5 hours running 10 km each. For white water rafting, people are needed to assemble at The Earthen Pot Restaurant in Valpoi. There will be a 25-minute drive and a 10-minute walk from there to the Mhadei river valley. The tropical archipelago off India’s west coast, Lakshadweep, is all set to attract more tourists by opening up 12 of its virgin islands. Minicoy, Bangaram, Suheli, Cherium, Tinnakara, Kalpeni, Kadmat, Agatti, Chetlat and Bitra are the islands being opened up for tourism. Britons become the top tourists who have visited Ireland, revealed a recent research, which states that one in four of the island’s foreign visitors are from the UK. It is reported that only 1,007 pilgrims could pay obeisance to the naturally formed ice-lingam at the holy cave shrine. It is also reported that around 1,735 pilgrims are stranded at the Nunwan base camp.
