Renounced tourist destination of Philippines – Boracay island – will reopen on October 26th 2018, but with restrictions to the number of tourists. The island was closed for six months as a rehabilitation effort of the environment. Maya Beach – crowded with tourists and speed boats Maya Bay, on Phi Phi Leh island in the Andaman Sea of Thailand, which was the set for the Hollywood film ‘The Beach’, has closed indefinitely to give its ecosystem to recover. Goa tourism invites tender for beach cleaning services

Goa tourism department is inviting tender for providing comprehensive cleaning services in the beaches of the state, for a period of five years. Cleaning works will include collection, segregation, transportation and disposal of garbage from various beaches. 10th October 2018 is the last date to submit the tender. The previous contract for cleaning given to two Mumbai based contractors has ended up in controversy, alleging multi-crore scams associated in the award. Ram Cleaners and Developers Pvt. Ltd. Antalya emerges as favourite tourist destination in Turkey

Antalya, a city in the southern part of Turkey, is emerging as the sought after tourist destination, with foreign tourists surging from all around the world. As per records revealed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Turkey has hosted 27 million foreign visitors in total from January to August this year. SpiceJet to start Jaisalmer flights under UDAN II

SpiceJet is introducing flights from Ahmedabad and Surat in Gujarat to Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, under the regional connectivity scheme UDAN. The direct Ahmedabad-Jaisalmer-Ahmedabad and Surat-Jaisalmer-Surat flights will commence operations on October 31 and November 30, respectively. The routes were awarded to the airline under UDAN II. With the introduction of the two routes, SpiceJet will operate 25 daily flights under UDAN in straight 14 months since its first launch in July 2017. India and Usbekistan signed 17 agreements for cooperation in various sectors, including tourism, visa free travel for diplomats, national security, training of diplomats and human trafficking The agreements were signed during the visit of the Usbekistan’s Presiden Shavkat Mirziyoyev in New Delhi on Monday, 1st October 2018. An encouraging response to the Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) has prompted the idea of a much spacious permanent venue from the next edition of what is already the country’s biggest tourism event, organisers said on Sunday.
