Assam hoists the highest national flag in the country on Gandhi Jayanti

Tourists will have another reason to visit the The ‘Gandhi Mandap’ atop the Sarania Hill in Guwahati. The authorities have hoisted a gigantic National Flag on a monumental flagpole, which is claimed to be the tallest in the country. It was earlier planned to install the flagpole any of the national days, including independence day; however it the flag could unfurl on 150 birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, on 2nd October. Tea Tourism Center is coming up in Tocklai, Assam

Tocklai Tea Research Institute Foundation stone for a Tea Tourism Center has laid by Sarbananda Sonowal, Chief Minister of Assam at Tocklai Tea Research Institute in Jorhat on 30th September 2018.
