Tourists will have another reason to visit the The ‘Gandhi Mandap’ atop the Sarania Hill in Guwahati. The authorities have hoisted a gigantic National Flag on a monumental flagpole, which is claimed to be the tallest in the country. It was earlier planned to install the flagpole any of the national days, including independence day; however it the flag could unfurl on 150 birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, on 2nd October.
