Kochi to host 12th Conventions India Conclave from August 29-31

The 12th edition of Conventions India Conclave, a premier international meet on MICE tourism, will be hosted at Grand Hyatt Bolgatty in Kochi from August 29-31, with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala. Rwanda’s tourism sector in an upward swing

Mount Muhavura, on the border between Rwanda and Uganda. Rwanda’s tourism sector shows a positive trend as per the latest report by Rwanda Development Board (RDB). Last year the tourism sector generated revenue of USD 438 million, which is about 50 per cent of all service exports. In terms of the source of the revenue, the East African Community became the highest source of revenue across all categories with 25 per cent of the total revenue.  Europe contributed 22 per cent, while the rest of Africa generated 21 per cent. Rwanda eyes on Conference Tourism

Rwanda targets to raise revenue of USD 74 million through its Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism strategy this year, Rwanda Convention Bureau said on Tuesday, 31st July 2018. As part of its diversification strategy of tourism sector, the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) has introduced the MICE tourism policy in 2014. It aims at providing innovative products in the tourism sector, while preserving existing popular tourism sectors like gorilla tourism, eco-tourism, cultural and community-based tourism. South Africa to advance tourism sector

South Africa, as part of boosting their international tourist arrivals to 40 per cent by 2021, is all about to speed up visa processing and highlight MICE tourism exponentially. “The new policy is as part of attracting over 5 million additional travellers, 4 million international tourists and 1 million extra local holiday trips,” said Derek Hanekom, Minister of Tourism, South Africa.
