വയനാട്; വിനോദസഞ്ചാര കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളില്‍ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് നിരോധിക്കും

ജില്ലയിലെ വിനോദസഞ്ചാര കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളില്‍ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് നിരോധനം എര്‍പ്പെടുത്താന്‍ ഡി.ടി.പി.സിക്ക് നിര്‍ദേശം നല്‍കുമെന്ന് കളക്ടര്‍ എ.ആര്‍. അജയകുമാര്‍. ഹരിതകേരളം മിഷന്റെ ഭാഗമായി കളക്ടറുടെ അധ്യക്ഷതയില്‍ ചേര്‍ന്ന ടാസ്‌ക്ഫോഴ്സ് യോഗത്തിലാണ് തീരുമാനം. ബഹുജന പങ്കാളിത്തത്തോടെ മാലിന്യ പരിപാലനം എന്ന ആശയത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തില്‍ നടപ്പാക്കുന്ന മിഷന്‍ ക്ലീന്‍ വയനാടിനായി മുഴുവന്‍ വാര്‍ഡുകളിലും ശുചിത്വ പരിപാലന സേന രൂപവത്കരിച്ചു. സേനയിലുള്‍പ്പെട്ട കണ്‍വീനര്‍മാരുടെ പരിശീലനം ഉടന്‍ പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കും. ജലസംരക്ഷണ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായി ജില്ലയില്‍ 18 തോടുകള്‍ പുനരുജ്ജീവിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങള്‍ ആരംഭിച്ചു. തുടര്‍പ്രവര്‍ത്തനമെന്ന നിലയില്‍ തദ്ദേശസ്ഥാപനങ്ങളുടെയും ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വകുപ്പുകളുടെയും നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ 21-നും 27-നുമിടയില്‍ ജില്ലാതലത്തില്‍ ശില്പശാല സംഘടിപ്പിക്കും. ഫെബ്രുവരിയില്‍ സംസ്ഥാന ശില്പശാല ‘ജലസംഗമം’ എന്ന പേരില്‍ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കും. ഹരിത കേരള മിഷന്റെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളും സന്ദേശങ്ങളും ജനങ്ങളില്‍ എത്തിക്കാന്‍ ബോധവത്കരണ പ്രചാരണ വാഹനം ‘ഹരിതായനം’ 13 മുതല്‍ 16 വരെ ജില്ലയില്‍ പര്യടനം നടത്തും.

Wayanad tourism destinations to go green

A R Ajayakumar, Wayanad District Collector, convened a meeting of the task force of ‘Haritha Keralam Mission’, to declare all tourism destinations in the district plastic-free. “As decided in the meeting, District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) will be directed to ban plastic in all tourism destinations in the district,” said the Collector after the meeting. Tourism stakeholders in North Kerala launches Malabar Tourism Society

With an aim to promote the Northern part of Kerala, the travel and tourism stakeholders have come together to form Malabar Tourism Society. The organization, which is scheduled to be launched on January 12, 2019, aims to develop the tourism in Malabar (North Kerala) region and promote six districts of Northern Kerala collectively by forming a dedicated Malabar circuit. One month long Jatayu Carnival kick-starts in Chadayamangalam
