Tourism Trade calls for trouble free operations and cooperation as AAI Signs pact with Adani Group to run Thiruvananthapuram Airport

On Tuesday the 19th of Jan, The Airports Authority of India has signed a concession agreement with Adani Group for three airports including Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. The agreement was signed even as a petition filed by the state government against the Centre’s decision to lease the airport to Adani Enterprises, which would be coming up for hearing at the Supreme Court in a couple of days. SC rules in favour of Travancore royal family in Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple case

Travel restrictions come into place in Thiruvananthapuram, as Covid-19 cases rise

With the coronavirus community transmission looming, the Thiruvananthapuram city corporation has clamped down on travel, by restricting key entry points and enhancing patrolling of affected areas. The functioning of Palayam and Chalai markets and major shopping centres will be affected as shops can only be opened on alternate days. The police will control the entry of people into public places. This could affect domestic tourists to a great extent.  The decision will be applicable to malls and supermarkets also. Kerala Tourism’s Info Centres get facelift

Strengthening the information network of Kerala Tourism, seven renovated tourism information centres were opened in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi on Tuesday, with Hon. Minister for Co-operation, Devaswom and Tourism, Kadakampally Surendran inaugurating the facility at the Central Bus Terminal at Thampanoor in Thiruvananthapuram.
