Chennai houses the fastest Broadband Speed

India has over 100 million internet users on a daily basis, within their various gadgets, making India as the world’s third largest internet users globally. The data have been published by Ookla, a Seattle-based internet speed analyst in terms of fastest broadband among Indian states. Chennai tops the list with a fixed broadband speed, which marks a download speed of 32.67 Mbps and 26.15 upload speed, with Bengaluru in the second place with 31.09 downloads and 27.20 upload speed. Pedestrian bridge collapses in Florida, killing at least 4

A pedestrian bridge under construction collapsed onto a busy Miami highway killing 4 and leaving many injured. The pedestrian bridge was installed last Saturday, connecting the Florida International University campus with the city of Sweetwater, Florida. The 950-ton bridge, collapsed crushing vehicles beneath its massive slabs of concrete, was expected to open to foot traffic next year. Eight cars were crushed under the bridge and at least 10 people were transported to local hospitals, two of them in critical condition. Twin tunnel in Maharashtra

As part of the Missing Link Project, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), is constructing one of the longest four-lane tunnels in the world, between Mumbai and Pune. The project is scheduled to be completed by 2021. The project, joining Kusgaon village and Chavani village in Pune, would be at a length of over 19.8 km. The two twin tunnels will together constitute (4+4) four lanes for a hassle-free, to and fro commuting. Air India Twitter account hacked

In a shocking incident, National Carrier Air India’s official Twitter account has been hacked by Turkish cyber crime army “IayyAldAzt” on Thursday midnight. Hackers posted misleading messages in Turkish language that contained flight cancellation tweets. A detailed inquiry was ordered by the senior airline officials in the wake of the current circumstances. “Last minute important announcement. All our flights have been cancelled. From now on, we will fly with Turkish Airlines,” tweeted the hackers. Within no matter of time, the account was restored to normal, said Air India. Finland named Happiest Country

Finland came on top as the 2018 World Happiness Report by United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network published on Wednesday. All the rankings within the 156 countries are based upon life expectancy, corruption, social freedom, generosity and social support. Contrary to the previous years, the annual report also marks 117 countries based on the happiness and prosperity of their immigrants. The list comes as Finland on top followed by Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland, Netherlands, Canada, New Zealand, Sweden and Australia. Storm alert: 700 flights cancelled in Boston

Various Airline authorities have cancelled more than 700 flights schedules from Boston as part of an upcoming strong winter storm. “American Airlines as a precaution had cancelled the entire Boston schedules of about 89 departures and arrivals,” said American Airlines spokesperson Ross Feinstein. Tuesday schedules for the Delta and JetBlue service had started refunding tickets to travellers affected by the storm. Also the short-term availability of employees, due to severe weather had further worsened the waiting passengers.  

Over 49 people feared dead at Kathmandu plane crash

It was a dark day in the history of aviation, as the Bangla flight from Dhaka to Kathmandu crash landed killing over 49 people on board. According to reports and eyewitness, the plane was found unstable and crashed with nose hitting the ground. No mechanical failure was detected by the authorities. Emergency landing for Indigo flight

In a shocking incident after the US-Bangla flight crash at Nepal, an Indigo Airbus A-320 initiated emergency landing at Ahmedabad airport, after finding an engine failure shortly after taking off. Plane crash at Kathmandu Airpot

In a shocking incident, a US-Bangla Airlines drift off from the runway leading to a crash at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal.
