Andhra Pradesh Tourism to host three-day air show

The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority (APTA) is planning to host a three-day air show in the city from November 23. The event, titled Air Show-2018, will be held at Punnami Ghat. Air Show-2018 would be held with the support of Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). About `2.85 crore will be required to host the event, and the state government has released a government order (GO RT 149) sanctioning the same in principle. AP’s Kondaveedu fort to be developed into hill station

Government of Andhra Pradesh is planning to develop the historic Kondaveedu fort close to the new state capital Amaravati, into a hill station with a resort. The authorities are expecting a significant increase in the tourist footfalls in the coming years and are launching the developmental activities soon. A host of projects would be taken up by the tourism, endowments, archaeology, roads and buildings and electricity departments. Four new Volvo buses to be launched in Andhra

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will launch 4 new Volvo buses of AP Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) at the Secretariat today. With the launch of new buses, the total bus fleet of the APTDC will be 36. The Corporation has 32 coaches, including 4 volvo, 2 Mercedes Benz, 5 AC Hitech, 9 AC mini buses, 12 non AC/ Hitech and 4 Innova vehicles. Ten Andhra temples to be made eco-parks

With the aim to attract more tourists to the area, the state government is planning to develop eco-parks in the premises of ten temples. An eco-park at the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy temple atop Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada is in the making. The Andhra Pradesh forest department is readying a blueprint to turn 10 popular temples into ecotourism hubs. All the eco-parks will be developed keeping Kotappakonda in Guntur as a model. Kotappakonda features a colourful butterfly and deer park, a play area for children and recreation centre for tourists. Chinese boats ferry tourists to Bhavani Island

Chinese-made air-conditioned hi-tech boats will ferry tourists from Durga Ghat to Punnami Ghat and Bhavani Island in Andhra Pradesh’s Amaravati soon. The AP Tourism Development Corporation has imported the 36-passenger capacity boat by spending Rs 1.19 crore. All the seats have a life jacket facility and foolproof security has been provided inside the boat as per the guidelines of international navigation. The boat will soon be introduced in Krishna River in Vijayawada. Yachting festival in Vizag

Andhra Pradesh Tourism, in association with E Factor, is conducting first- ever Vizag Yachting Festival. Tourism kiosk opens at Tirupati railway station

Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) has opened an information counter at the first platform of Tirupati railway station. The kiosk was inaugurated by APTDC Chairman V Jayarami Reddy in the presence of Tirupati Station Director K Satyanarayana. “The counter will be of immense use to pilgrims who visit Tirupati. They can get entire information about all tourism destinations in the state from the counter and plan their programmes during their pilgrimage,” Jayarami Reddy said.
