Kumarakom, Kerala The Ministry of Tourism has entered into a pact to develop mobile audio-video guide application for 5 tourism sites across India. Letters of Intent has issued to seven agencies under ‘Adopt a Heritage’ Scheme for Vision Bidding. The Minister of State (I/C) for Tourism, K J Alphons has handed over a Memorandum of Understanding under the ‘Adopt a Heritage’ scheme to Resbird Technologies for development of a mobile Audio Guide App for five iconic sites. Rajasthan bets big on Heritage tourism

The Amer Fort in Rajasthan, which has been selected as one of the 10 iconic sites from India, stands just second to Taj as far as tourist arrivals are concerned, said the state Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. She was speaking at the inaugural session of the 10th edition of the Great India Travel Bazaar (GITB) at Hotel Lalit in Jaipur. Ten tourism sites to be developed into iconic destinations: K J Alphons

Colva Beach, Goa The Ministry of Tourism has identified ten prominent tourist sites for development into iconic tourist destinations in the country. The plan was announced during the Budget Announcements of 2018-19. The ministry has identified the sites based on the criteria of footfall, regional distribution, potential for development and ease of implementation.
