Tourism ministry to develop mobile audio-video guide app for 5 tourism sites

Kumarakom, Kerala The Ministry of Tourism has entered into a pact to develop mobile audio-video guide application for 5 tourism sites across India. Letters of Intent has issued to seven agencies under ‘Adopt a Heritage’ Scheme for Vision Bidding. The Minister of State (I/C) for Tourism, K J Alphons has handed over a Memorandum of Understanding under the ‘Adopt a Heritage’ scheme to Resbird Technologies for development of a mobile Audio Guide App for five iconic sites. Colva beach listed under iconic site project

The Union Ministry has listed Goa’s Colva beach under the ‘Iconic Tourist Site Development Project’, for the most-frequent tourist spot in the state. The new title would thus ensure a major tourism-oriented infrastructure development to the beach. Meanwhile, Colva beach in Goa becomes the only beach destination among other 12 sites across India. Ten tourism sites to be developed into iconic destinations: K J Alphons

Colva Beach, Goa The Ministry of Tourism has identified ten prominent tourist sites for development into iconic tourist destinations in the country. The plan was announced during the Budget Announcements of 2018-19. The ministry has identified the sites based on the criteria of footfall, regional distribution, potential for development and ease of implementation.
