Emirates offers business class companion fares

Emirates is offering travellers in Lebanon special Business class companion fares to 15 destinations across its network. The offers are valid for bookings until 31 October 2018, for travel until 20 December 2018. The special fares are available for two to eight people booking and flying together in Business Class. Fares from Lebanon start from USD 3626 per person to Phuket, to New York for USD 3660 per person, to Kuala Lumpur and Sydney for USD 3765 per person. Punjab to focus on enhancing heritage tourism

In a move to increase the tourism footfalls in the state, government of Punjab is giving emphasize to heritage tourism. As per reports, heritage sites the in the state have been witnessing increased tourism activities in recent years. “The Heritage Street in Amritsar has really increased the footfall of tourists many times. Gujarat invites other states to construct ‘state houses’ near Sardar Patel statue

Singapore Tourism Board creates fund for local contents promoting Singapore

Folk art forms of the state to be conserved: Karnataka Chief Minister

In order to conserve the folk art forms of the State, HD Kumaraswamy, Karnataka Chief Minister  has directed officers of the Kannada and Culture Department to take steps to resume the Janapada Jatre in the state. Janapada Jatre is a Folklore festival held in the state of Karnataka on weekends. This festival is to showcase the cultural diversity present in Karnataka and encourage the artistes to keep their culture alive. First cruise ship of the season will arrive at Kochi on 15th October

Marking the new tourism season, the first cruise ship will arrive at Kochi port by 15th October. After Kochi, the luxury cruise ship MV Boudicca, carrying  522 tourists, will reach Vizhinjam the next day at around 8 AM. The tourists disembarking at the Vizhinjam port will be received by the tourism authorities in traditional style. After sightseeing in different tourism attractions of the region, the group will set off to Colombo at evening. The luxury ship belongs to Fred. Wayanad to be waste-free district soon

The picturesque Wayanad is all set to be more beautiful, with the hill station going to be made waste-free soon. The district administration, in association with three-tier local administrative bodies, is planning to make the destination waste-free. An action plan has been prepared by three-tier local bodies to declare Wayanad a complete waste-free district from January 1. The action plan suggests conducting ward-level waste-free declaration on October 21, followed by Grama panchayat-level and district-level waste-free declarations on November 14 and December 31 respectively. Revv is coming to Kochi along with three other cities

Revv Co-founders -Anupam Agarwal and Karan Jain Revv, the car sharing platform is coming to Kochi. It is as per their plan to expand their services to four new cities making their presence in 15 cities of the country. Three other are Ahmedabad, Mangalore and Kolkata. Pilgrimage tourism in Kerala gets Rs 91.72 crore push

Ananthapura Lake Temple, Kasargod The Union Ministry has approved projects worth Rs 91.72 crore for the development of Pilgrimage tourism in Kerala. The fund will be used for the infrastructure development of 147 pilgrimage centers of the state. The proposals submitted by the Kerala tourism department have been approved by the Union Ministry of Tourism in principle. As per Kadakampally Surendran, the Kerala Tourism Minister, detailed project plans will be submitted to the Union Ministry in due course.
