Chinese market to revive Tunisian tourism

Nearly 12,000 Chinese tourists have visited Tunisia between January and May 2018, registering a growth of 56.8 per cent year on year, according to the statistics of Tunisian Ministry of Tourism. With a history of over 3,000 years, Tunisia, lying at the north point of the African continent, is renowned for its rich tourism resources. From 2017 February onwards Tunisia has decided to give visa-free entry to Chinese tourists for stay of no more than 90 days in the country. Tunisia’s tourism industry getting back on track

As per the tourism industry’s reports, Tunisia has achieved considerable growth in tourism sector registering a great recovery after the industry was hit badly by jihadi attacks in 2015. The tourist arrivals in the country recorded more than 2.3 million till May 20th, recording a rise of 21.8 per cent in visitor numbers when compared to same period last year and 5.7 per cent more when compared to same period in 2010. AAHAR 2018 kick starts in Delhi

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Suresh Prabhu inaugurated the 33rd edition of ‘AAHAR 2018’, a 4-day event on International Food and Hospitality at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The event is organised by India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), in association with Agricultural Processed Food Products Development Authority (APEDA), and Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
