Thirty nine new services heading to Kerala airports from October

A total of 39 new domestic services will be operated from Kerala from October, with 23 of them from Thiruvananthapuram airport. The decision came in the wake of a meeting held by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan with CEOs of various airline companies. Air India and Vistara will have one new service each, Air Asia will have seven new services, Spice Jet will have eight and GoAir will have 22 new services. Racy start to Kerala’s CBL boat league, Tropical Titans wins in first leg

Pallathuruthi Boat Club, Alappuzha won the 67th Nehru Trophy Boat Race and topped the first round of the Champions Boat League (CBL) here today, as the pioneering three-month sporting event got off to a racy start in the sprawling Punnamada Lake in Alappuzha. Today’s winner, whose CBL name is Tropical Titans, earned nine points, clocking 4.25.83 minutes to cover the distance of 1,050 metres. Kerala CM to flag off CBL boat race on Saturday in Sachin’s presence

With cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar as the star guest, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will flag off Champions Boat League (CBL) on Saturday alongside the famed Nehru Trophy Boat Race at the Punnamada lake in this coastal city. Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) Society revamped its managing committee for 2019-21, retaining top functionaries including Baby Mathew Somatheeram as the president, Swaminathan S as vice-president and Jose Pradeep as honorary secretary of the organisation that works for the promotion of the state’s tourism with the help of public-private partnership. The tourism department of Kerala has decided to conduct the 67th edition of the Nehru Trophy boat race and the first heats of the Champions Boat League, at Punnamada lake in Alappuzha on August 31, 2019. The NTB and CBL, which were first scheduled on August 10 was postponed considering the risk from the heavy rain and flood. Kerala Tourism’s Info Centres get facelift

Strengthening the information network of Kerala Tourism, seven renovated tourism information centres were opened in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi on Tuesday, with Hon. Minister for Co-operation, Devaswom and Tourism, Kadakampally Surendran inaugurating the facility at the Central Bus Terminal at Thampanoor in Thiruvananthapuram.
