Kottappuram, near Kodungallur, will be the new venue for the seventh race of the Champions Boat League (CBL) this weekend, as organisers changed the original plan to hold the October 19 leg at Ponnani in Malappuram district. Citing logistical reasons that have made it extremely difficult for the CBL snake-boats to be brought to upstate Ponnani, the officials informed that the league’s races this Saturday will be held at the Muziris Kottappuram Waterfront that was the venue for the previous leg on October 12. The tourism department of Kerala has decided to conduct the 67th edition of the Nehru Trophy boat race and the first heats of the Champions Boat League, at Punnamada lake in Alappuzha on August 31, 2019. Kerala Tourism ties up with E Factor, Social Street for Boat League

Kerala Tourism has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a consortium represented by E Factor Entertainment and The Social Street (AMP Communications) for the development, branding, promotions, marketing and revenue generation activities of the Champions’ Boat League (CBL). The consortium will be responsible for the developmental exercise of the league for the next five years starting 2019 until 2023. Kerala Tourism invites proposals to conduct Champions Boat League

The Department of Tourism has invited proposals from eligible sports/event management agencies for branding, promoting, marketing and revenue generation activities of the Champions Boat League. The last date of submitting proposals has been extended till 3 pm, February 21, 2019. The selected agency will be responsible for promotional activities for five years.
