ATTOI President urges PM to implement a week-long shutdown

The Association of Tourism Trade Organisations India (ATTOI) has requested the Prime Minister to implement a week-long total shutdown in the country, in light of the corona virus pandemic. ATTOI President Vinod CS in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that such a move is required now, especially considering the experience of European countries. “The experience in Europe tells us that it’s not a walk-over situation. WTTC urges all countries to provide financial help to tourism sector

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has urged governments around the world to provide financial help to millions working in the tourism sector who are facing tremendous economic difficulties. Governments must extend vital, interest free loans to global travel and tourism companies as well as the numerous small and medium sized businesses as a stimulus. Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA India) has successfully conducted a four-city roadshow in New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Mumbai along with 26 operators. “The objective behind conducting this roadshow is to show that Mauritius is more than a beach destination. Israel Ministry of Tourism conducts roadshow in Kolkata

With an aim to enhance commercial ties with the Indian travel trade fraternity, Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) has conducted a roadshow in Kolkata on August 29. Tourism New Zealand expands Kiwi Link India to 3 cities

Total visitor arrivals from India to New Zealand have doubled (from 33,000 to 66,000) in the past four years.
