St Petersburg and Ras Al Khaimah are among the latest destinations to sign up to the world’s first ever global safety and hygiene stamp, launched recently by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). The growing list of endorsements have come from many major holiday and city destinations around the world, such as Kenya, St. Petersburg, and the Spanish resort of Benidorm, among many others. Raki Phillips joins Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority as CEO

Hospitality veteran Raki Phillips has been appointed as CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA). Phillips, who took over since June 2019, brings to the table wide-ranging industry experience, which will aid Ras Al Khaimah’s goal of becoming one of the fastest growing destinations in the world. According to RAKTDA, Phillips’ appointment heralds the beginning of a new phase of tourism development for the Emirate. Ras Al Khaimah to open phase II of world’s longest zipline by year-end

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) has announced that considering the visitor response, it will open the phase II of world’s longest zipline in the third quarter of 2018. The phase II will feature two new cables and will increase the capacity of the Jebel Jais Flight to 400 people per day, around 200,000 per year.
