Emirates expects a busy travel period for spring break

Emirates anticipates high passenger traffic this spring break weekend with visitors travelling to and from Dubai. The busiest time for departures in Terminal 3 was on Friday 29th March with more than 42,000 passengers travelling abroad. Peak travel is expected to continue until Tuesday 2nd April 2019 with more than 205,000 Emirates passengers travelling from Dubai to destinations beyond. During this time, Emirates will also be welcoming more than 160,000 passengers to and through Dubai. Customers are reminded to arrive at the airport at least three hours before their flight departure to avoid any delays. Emirates increases flights to Durban, introduces its First Class service

Emirates has announced a seasonal increase to its existing daily service to Durban, with four additional flights a week, effective from 14 June to 04 August 2019. Emirates adds flights to Cairo, increases connectivity for customers

Emirates has announced that it will increase the frequency of flights between Dubai and Cairo, adding four additional flights a week to its existing thrice-daily service, starting 28 October, 2019. More than 3000 people visit Emirates A380 at first Saudi International Airshow

The Emirates A380 drew in more than 3000 visitors in two days at the first ever Saudi International Airshow. The Emirates A380 was the largest commercial aircraft on display at the milestone event. The aircraft received a royal visit from HRH Sultan bin Salman, Chairman of the Board of Saudi Space Agency. Emirates Flight Training Academy signs MoU with National Aviation Academy in KSA

Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA), the world class flight training facility developed by Emirates, and the National Aviation Academy (TAYARAN), a not-for-profit vocational training institute in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to share their expertise and jointly promote their training programmes and exchange cadets pilots and aircraft maintenance technicians in training between the two academies. Emirates to launch second daily flight to London Stansted

Emirates has announced the launch of a second daily flight from Dubai (DXB) to London Stansted (STN) starting 1st July, 2019. The additional flight means that Emirates customers will now have 11 daily flight options to and from three London airports. UAE airlines cancel flights from Dubai, Abu Dhabi to Pakistan

A number of Emirates flights to/from Pakistan and Afghanistan on 27 and 28 February have been cancelled due to the closure of Pakistani and Afghanistan air space. “We are sorry for any inconvenience caused to our customers. The safety of our passengers and crew is of the utmost importance and will not be compromised,” said the airlines. Dubai Airports has also confirmed that flights to and from Pakistan have been impacted until further notice due to the closure of Pakistani airspace. Emirates to link Phnom Penh and Bangkok with daily service from Dubai

Emirates said it will link Phnom Penh (PNH) and Bangkok (BKK) with a new daily service set to launch on June 1, 2019. The service from Dubai to Phnom Penh, via Bangkok, will provide passengers travelling between the capital cities of Cambodia and Thailand with more flight options. The new service will be operated with an Emirates Boeing 777 aircraft. Emirates to launch new service to Porto

Emirates will launch a four times weekly service between Portugal’s second largest city, Porto, and Dubai, from 2 July 2019. Porto will become Emirates’ second destination in Portugal after its capital, Lisbon, which the airline currently serves with two flights a day. The flight will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a three class cabin configuration, offering eight private suites in First Class, 42 lie flat seats in Business Class and 310 spacious seats in Economy Class. Emirates sign codeshare deal with China South Airlines

Emirates and China Southern Airlines have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to progress a comprehensive reciprocal codeshare agreement, which is set to open up new destinations for passengers travelling between China and the Middle East and Africa. The partnership with the Guangzhou-based carrier also allows Emirates’ passengers to enjoy seamless connectivity on domestic flights within China, adding eight new destinations to its global network. Emirates celebrates 15 years of connecting Ghana to the world

Emirates has celebrated a milestone in its operation to Ghana, marking 15 years of service to Accra. The first Emirates flight flew into Kotoka International Airport in January 2004, and the airline has since carried close to 1.6 million passengers between Accra and Dubai and its network. The airline started operations in Ghana with three flights a week, increasing to six flights a week in March 2005.
