TPC volunteer conducts survey in the flood affected areas Kerala is slowly recovering from the devastating flood that caused widespread destruction to the state. വേനല്‍ അവധിയില്‍ ചൂടില്‍ നിന്ന് മാറി കുളിര്‍ക്കാറ്റ് കൊണ്ട് വിശ്രമിക്കാന്‍ പന്തളം കുപ്പണ്ണൂരിലേക്ക് പോരൂ. മുമ്പ് യാത്രക്കാര്‍ ദുര്‍ഗന്ധം കൊണ്ട് മൂക്ക് പൊത്തി നടന്ന സ്ഥലം ഇന്ന് കുളിര്‍ക്കാറ്റ് വീശുന്ന ഉദ്യാനമായി. എം സി റോഡിനരികില്‍ പന്തളം കുളനടയ്ക്കരികില്‍ മാന്തുക കുപ്പണ്ണൂര്‍ പുഞ്ചയുടെ തീരമാണ് കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് കളിക്കാനുള്ള സ്ഥലവും മുതിര്‍ന്നവര്‍ക്ക് കഥ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കാനുമുള്ള ഇടമായി മാറിയത്. കാടുമൂടിയ പുഞ്ചയുടെ തീരത്ത് മാലിന്യം തള്ളിയിരുന്നവരിലധികവും യാത്രക്കാരായിരുന്നു. മാലിന്യം തെരുവുനായ്ക്കളെയും ഇവിടേക്ക് വിളിച്ചുവരുത്തി. പൊറുതിമുട്ടിയ നാട്ടുകാര്‍ ഒന്നിച്ചുചേര്‍ന്ന് പഞ്ചായത്തംഗം കെ.ആര്‍.ജയചന്ദ്രന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ കാടുവെട്ടി വൃത്തിയാക്കി പൂന്തോട്ടവും ഒരുക്കി. ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തും സന്നദ്ധ സംഘടനകളും വ്യക്തികളും സഹായവുമായി എത്തിയതോടെ ഇവിടം പൂന്തോട്ടമായി. റോഡിന്റെ മറുഭാഗത്തെ സ്ഥലത്ത് കുളനട ലയണ്‍സ് ക്ലബ്ബും കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കായി പാര്‍ക്കുണ്ടാക്കി അസ്തമയം കാണാം ഇരുവശവും പാടം, നീര്‍ച്ചാല്‍, പറവകള്‍. വെയിലാറിക്കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ പാടത്തുനിന്നും തണുത്ത കാറ്റുണ്ടാകും. സൂര്യന്‍ കുപ്പണ്ണൂര്‍ പാടത്തെ മറികടന്ന് മരങ്ങള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ മറയുന്നത് മനോഹരമായ കാഴ്ചയാണ്. കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് കളിക്കാനുള്ള ഉപകരണങ്ങള്‍ റോഡിനിരുവശവും ഒരുക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. കുട്ടികള്‍ ...
