Fifteen destinations identified for development under Ramayana Circuit

Ramayana Circuit is one of the fifteen thematic circuits identified for development under the Swadesh Darshan scheme of Ministry of Tourism. The Ministry has initially identified fifteen destinations for development under the Ramayana Circuit theme namely Ayodhya, Nandigram, Shringverpur & Chitrakoot (Uttar Pradesh), Sitamarhi, Buxar & Darbhanga (Bihar), Chitrakoot (Madhya Pradesh), Mahendragiri (Odisha), Jagdalpur (Chattisgarh), Nashik & Nagpur (Maharashtra), Bhadrachalam (Telangana), Hampi (Karnataka) and Rameshwaram (Tamil Nadu). South Korean first lady to be chief guest at Deepotsav in Ayodhya

South Korea’s First Lady Kim Jung-Sook will be the chief guest at the Deepotsav in Ayodhya this Diwali. Sook, who has also scheduled to attend the ground breaking ceremony of Queen Suriratma memorial in Ayodhya, will be in India from November 4 to 7. Sook will be the chief guest at the Deepotsav, organised by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh in Ayodhya on 6th November 2018. Attain moksha at ‘Nirwana Abode’ in Ayodhya!

Ayodhya – Photo for representative purpose only A new tourist township, ‘Navya Ayodhya’ is coming up in Uttar Pradesh, near Ayodhya. The township will be spread across 500 acres of land on Faizabad-Gorakhpur National Highway with an estimated cost of Rs 1,200 crore. The initial project report is being prepared by a London-based consultancy. The proposal from the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is awaiting state government approval to start the works. IRCTC to launch Ramayana Tourism in November

Representative picture only With an aim to promote religious tourism, IRCTC is all set to launch a special tourist train linking key site in Ramayana. The train, called Sri Ramayana Express, will start operations from November 14. The tour by train will link all the important places that linked to the epic ‘Ramayana”. Ministry asks Bihar to rework on Ramayana circuit proposal

Tourism Ministry has asked Bihar to rework on the Ramayana Circuit proposal it had submitted. The State Government of Bihar has submitted the proposal for development of Sitamarhi, Buxar and Darbhanga under Ramayana Circuit. “A presentation on the project was made in the Ministry of Tourism on 13.02.2018 and based on discussion, the State Government has been requested to rework on the project as per scheme guidelines,” informed K J Alphons, Union Minister of State (I/C) for Tourism.
