Vistara, SpiceJet announce new flights

Vistara has announced Dibrugarh as its twenty fourth destination in a press release. The carrier will operate its daily direct flights between Dibrugarh and Bagdogra, effective from April 3, 2019 at a starting all-inclusive fare of Rs 2,399. Japan Airlines to start daily Bengaluru-Tokyo service in 2020

Japan Airlines (JAL) said it will launch a new non-stop daily service between Tokyo (Narita) and Bengaluru from 2020. With this service, JAL is introducing the first direct flights to Tokyo from  a South Indian city. JAL, which now has direct flights to Tokyo from New Delhi, is planning to operate flights on the Bengaluru-Tokyo route daily. The Tokyo-Bengaluru flight will leave Tokyo at 6:25 pm and reach Bengaluru at 12:05 am (next day). Meghalaya’s inbound tourism recorded 80 per cent growth in a decade

Tathagata Roy, Meghalaya Governer, said that various government initiatives and the hospitality of locals have attracted more tourists to the state from other parts of India and abroad. He was delivering his speech in the state Assembly on the first day of budget. “Meghalaya Tourism has witnessed a massive inflow of both international and domestic tourists in the last ten years. Etihad to introduce Boeing 787 Dreamliners to Rome and Frankfurt

Etihad Airways will introduce a new two-class Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, the largest variant of the technologically advanced aircraft, on its scheduled daily morning service from Abu Dhabi to Rome, complementing the second overnight 777-300ER departure. On 1 July, the airline will introduce the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on its two daily services to Frankfurt. Delhi Metro’s Blue Line in Noida start functioning

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Noida City Centre-Noida Electronic City section of the Delhi Metro’s Blue Line on Saturday. The services will be available at 4 PM, stated a senior DMRC official. This 6.6 km elevated section consists of six stations namely Sector 34, Sector 52, Sector 61, Sector 59, Sector 62 and Noida Electronic City. Haryana’s Bhindawas bird sanctuary to have a face-lift

The Bhindawas bird sanctuary in Jhajjar, the largest wetland of Haryana, will get a face-lift to promote tourism. The area spread over 1,017 acres will be developed to attract both domestic and foreign tourists and provide a good habitat with a plenty of food to migratory birds for breeding. Indian Railways launches three projects with CSR funds

Minister of Railways, Piyush Goyal, launched 3 projects supported through ‘Rail Sahyog’, which is a platform for the Corporates and PSUs to contribute to creation of amenities at or near Railway Stations through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds. These projects would help augment Railways infrastructure, improve passenger experience and enhance cleanliness and hygiene. Kerala Tourism signs MoU for conducting Champions Boat League

Kerala Tourism has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a consortium led by Delhi-based E Factor Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. for branding, promoting, marketing and revenue generation activities of the Champions Boat League from 2019 to 2023. As per the MoU, the agency will be responsible for promotional activities for five years. The government will get 35 per cent revenue share.
