Kailash Mansarovar Yatra: Online registration commences

The online reservation for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, organised by Ministry of External Affairs, has commenced. The last date for submitting applications online is March 23. Every year the ministry conducts the much looked after Kailash Mansarovar yatra during June to September through two different routes – Lipulekh Pass (Uttarakhand), and Nathu La Pass (Sikkim). Kailash Manasarovar Yatra (KMY), known for its religious value and cultural significance, is undertaken by hundreds of people every year. Kerala Budget 2018: Rs 82 crore allotted for Kerala Tourism

Kerala Finance minister Thomas Isaac is presenting the state budget. The minister allocated Rs 82 crore for Kerala Tourism’s marketing activities. It also has allocated Rs 40 crore for the protection of heritage projects of Muziris and Thalassery. The heritage project of Alappuzha will be funded through KIIFB. Approvals have been given to a few museums, informed the minister adding that the rest of the projects will be initiated in 2018-19 period. Once the Spices Routes starts functioning, places like Ponnani and Beppur will also come under the heritage project belt. Paris now has a sex doll brothel

France’s first sex doll brothel opens in Paris with three silicone sex dolls ready for rent. Having paid sex was made illegal in France in 2016, but the law had no mention about paying for sex with a silicon doll. The brothel website XDolls advertises three different kinds of dolls on offer – Lily, Sofia and Kim and also displays the pictures of each kinds of dolls. Aralam records 178 species of butterflies

The annual butterfly survey in the Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary (WLS) recorded 178 species of butterflies, including nine species that are endemic to the Western Ghats. The survey was inaugurated by K.V. Zambia’s Luambe is world’s most carbon neutral park

Luambe National Park, one of the oldest and smallest national parks in Zambia, is declared the most carbon neutral National Park in the world. The 254 km² park located on the eastern bank of the Luangwa, is awarded the most carbon neutral in the world by a USAID-funded Community Forests Program (CFP) implemented by BioCarbon Partners (BCP), in partnership with the Zambian Government.
