Jet Airways reschedules Hong Kong flights due to Mangkhut Typhoon

Jet Airways have cancelled their flights to and from Hong Kong on 16th September 2018, due to the Typhoon Mangkhut. It was tweeted on their official twitter page. In a subsequent tweet it has announced that the flights on 16th have been rescheduled for 17th September. “#9Wupdate Consequent to adverse weather at Hong Kong due to #TyphoonMangkhut, our flights to/from Hong Kong have been rescheduled for Sept 17, 2018. Goa and Japan to join hands to promote tourism

Goa and Japan plan to have ties between the two regions to boost tourism. Ryoji Noda, Consul General of Japan met Menino D’Souza, Director of Tourism, Goa on Thursday, 6th September 2018. Various initiatives to be taken up to develop tourism in Japan and Goa have been discussed during the meeting. Japan hit by the strongest typhoon in 25 years

The strongest typhoon, named Jebi, hit Japan in 25 years battered the west of the country on Tuesday, September 4 with violent winds and heavy rain. The country’s meteorological agency has said that large area of Japan should be on high alert for strong gusts, high waves and heavy downpours. At least nine people have been killed and over 150 people are injured. In Osaka Bay it swept a tanker into a bridge and in Kyoto parts of a railway station roof came down. Asian Games mascot makes an island popular in Indonesia

Bawean deers Bawean Island is becoming popular among tourists after one of its endemic species, the bawean deer (Axis kuhlii), was made mascot for the 2018 Asian Games. Indonesia to tap tourism to tackle current account deficit

Bali, Indonesia Indonesian President Joko Widodo has vowed to handle Indonesia’s current account deficit, which has been rocketing these years. Currently the deficit is about US$25 billion. The President stated that by enhancing the revenue from tourism and reducing the overall fuel imports by increasing the use of indigenous biodiesel. Preah Vihear Temple Preah Vihear temple is located in Svay Chhrum village, Kantuot commune, Choam Ksan district, about 108 kilo meters north of Preah Vihear provincial town. First international tourism port is coming up in Cambodia

The foundation stone for the port has been laid on Wednesday, on 8th August 2018. “The port will be developed with the financial aid of USD 8 million from the Asian Development Bank.  The four-hectare is coming up in Chhum Kreal commune of Tek Chhou district,” said Thong Khon, the Tourism Minister “The port will improve tourism in the province by connecting seaborne tourists from Thailand and Vietnam,” he said in a speech during the ground-breaking ceremony. ... World’s first ‘sky water theme park’ is coming up in Malacca, Malaysia

A collaboration between Singapore’s Hatten Land, Samsung C&T Corporation – which also operates South Korea’s Everland Resort – and water slides designer Polin Waterparks, Splash World at Harbour City is due for completion by end of 2019 and expected to be opened to the public in the first half of 2020. A pair of giant hands lifts the ribbon-like Golden Bridge up in the air above Vietnam’s Trường Sơn Mountains.
