Yoga Ambassadors are all set to learn Kalaripayattu

The Yoga Ambassadors Tour have reached Thekkady on June 17 where they were greeted by the Thekkady Destination Promotion Council. The ambassadors received a very warm welcome and they were excited to pose pictures with the elephant who was brought to the hotel to welcome them. The delegates fed the elephant with plantains and also posed for pictures with it. Elissa Chrisson from Sydney and Chavda Ankur Ambarambhai from Singapore did a yoga demonstration for the TDPC officials and staff. It’s birthday time at the Yoga Tour!

House boat of ‘Spice Routs’ witnessed a varied birthday celebration in the backwaters of Kuttanad on 16th June. Nicole Rene’e Matthews, from Michigan was the birthday girl. Nicole was one of the delegates participating in the Yoga Ambassadors Tour 2018, organized by ATTOI (Association of Tourism Trade Operators India). Delegates from 22 different countries along with the officials of ATTOI and the house boat staff greeted Nicole with flowers, gifts and hugs to make the birthday celebration an unforgettable event. Yoga Ambassadors experience ‘Yoga Sadya’ in Kerala houseboats

The third day of the Yoga Ambassadors Tour, organised by ATTOI, has also been special with the yoga sadya or satvic lunch offered for the yoga ambassadors at the houseboats in Kuttanad, the rice bowl of Kerala. The lunch was served after the team boarded the Spice Routes’ houseboats. Uday Samudra’s Satvic dinner is a hit among YAT delegates

By catering the indigenous tastes of Kerala, Hotel Uday Samudra, Kovalam, delighted the delegates of the Yoga Tour on the second day of the tour. The yogis were taking their dinner, after an eventful day in Kovalam and Kanyakumari. Muthirakkanji, drumstick leaves thoran, vazhachudu mezhukkupuratti, (dish made of plantain stem) pavakka varutharachath (bitter gourd dish) etc. were the main course of dinner. While addressing the foreign delegates from different parts of the world during the International Conference on yoga, organised as part of the Yoga Ambassadors Tour 2018 at Leela Raviz Hotel, Dr. B R Sharma from Kaivalyadhama Yoga Research Institute, Lonavla, advised that we should live like lotus. The Yoga Ambassadors Tour organised by ATTOI successfully crossed Day 2 with accolades being showered by the yoga delegates on the organizers and the Kovalam beach. All the sixty yoga ambassadors took part in the one hour long morning yoga session lead by Dr Arun Tejas of Sri Chithra Institute, Thiruvananthapuram. Though Kerala has witnessed mass yoga sessions in the state, it was a new experience to watch this much foreigners doing yoga. Spectacular yoga demonstration by Yoga Ambassadors at Kovalam

Day two of the yoga tour started with a yoga session at the Leela Raviz Kovalam. All the sixty yoga ambassadors took part in the one hour long morning yoga session.   The session was lead by Dr Arun Tejas of Sri Chithra Institute, Thiruvananthapuram. “I’m following the techniques and asanas as prescribed by the AYUSH ministry’s common yoga protocol,” said Dr Arun after the session. Yoga Ambassadors arrive at The Leela Raviz Kovalam

The Yoga Ambassadors from almost 20 countries have arrived in the Kerala’s state capital, Thiruvananthapuram on June 13. The yoga team was first received by the ATTOI officials from the Trivandrum International airport. On their arrival at The Leela Raviz Kovalam, the delegates were given a traditional welcome by the hotel.
