Bollywood actress Sunny Leone is presently in Kerala to shoot for the upcoming season of the dating reality show Splitsvilla aired by MTV. The actress reached Thiruvananthapuram last Thursday night with her husband and kids, as part of a shoot. Sunny Leone first visited Kerala in 2017 and fans had thronged the streets of Kochi to catch a glimpse of the actress. Poovar in Thiruvananthapuram to be a responsible tourism destination

Poovar island As part of expanding its area of operation and to provide the benefits of sustainable tourism to the local people, Kerala’s Responsible Tourism Mission adds Poovar in Thiruvananthapuram District to its list of responsible tourism destinations. Poovar Panchayat President Ajith Kumar MS inaugurated the project at a function held at Geethu International Hotel at Poovar on Sunday. RT Mission plans to introduce story telling and cultural sessions in tourism

As part of diversifying the tourism products and to encourage sustainable tourism models, the Responsible Tourism Mission of Kerala is planning a number of innovative concepts in the tourism sector of the state. The objective of the programme is to recompense the loss in the tourism sector due to drop in the number of tourists in the previous year, due to various reasons. As per RT Mission, several community-level tourism activities such as storytelling and cultural sessions will be launched in the month of March. Eight more RT model villages to be developed in Kerala

Followed by the successful implementation of Responsible Tourism in some of the destinations in the state, the RT Mission is all set to develop eight more RT model villages across Kerala. Also, the People’s Participation for Participatory Planning and Empowerment through Responsible Tourism (PEPPER), an innovative integrated tourism project of the RT Mission that ensures whole-hearted participation of the people in the particular locality, will be extended to 10 more centres. At present RT is implemented in Kovalam, Kumarakom, Thekkady, Vythiri, Ambalavayal, Bakel and Kumbalangi.
