Andhra Pradesh to host F1H20 World Championship

Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority (APTA) to host Formula 1 Motorboat Racing in river Krishna near the green field capital city of Amaravati. The global sporting event, F1H20 World Championship, is coming back to India after a long gap of 14 years. The prestigious racing extravaganza will take place from November 16 to 18. Extension of closing time of eateries to boost nightlife in Andhra Pradesh

Late night meanderers of Andhra Pradesh need not starve any more. The state government has given approval to extend the last closing time of eateries until midnight. Currently, eateries have to close shop by 10.30 pm Order has been issued by the Labour Department to this effect. It is expected that the move will encourage nigh life in the state and will contribute to tourism development. The extension in closing time is only for eateries and not applicable for bars. AP government to promote industrial tourism

Satish Dhawan Space Center Andhra Pradesh government ventures to redesign the concept of tourism in the state. The government is planning to explore the potential of industrial tourism, other than site seeing and adventures.  Sri City, the integrated business city in Chittoor and Nellore districts and the Satish Dhawan Space Center at Sriharikota are some of the places they have identified as industrial tourism spots. Andhra Pradesh tourism to promote handicrafts industry

As part of revitalizing the handicrafts industry of the state, the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority is conducting state wide workshops for the artisans. While talking to the media in the first such workshop on Sunday, 5th August 2018, Mukesh Kumar Meena,  Secretary, Department of Tourism, Language and Culture, said traditional artisans producing enchanting range of handicrafts and weavers creating brilliant line of handloom apparel were integral part of the tourism sector. “We want to create a well-organized platform for the craftsmen to market their products easily and ensuring deserved prices,” he said.
