Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) and the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka will organise Multi City Road-shows in the months of March & April, 2019 to promote Karnataka Tourism and Travel Industry. Various tourist places, hotels, resorts, home-stays, Tour operators and other service providers from Karnataka will take part in the promotion campaigns. Tourists in Mysore to have double-decker buses for sight seeing

Following the success of the ‘Open Bus’ rides introduced during Dasara celebrations, Karnataka state government has now decided to put double-decker buses in Mysuru. A double-decker bus from the fleet of BMTC in Bengaluru was procured during the Dasara festivities to promote tourism, and take tourists around the city for sight-seeing. This initiative was well-received. This was perhaps the driving force behind the announcement, the stakeholders say. ‘Akasha Ambari’ receives overwhelming response

S R Mahesh, Tourism Minister, has taken part in the maiden flight from Mysuru to Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. The flight service has been envisaged to facilitate travel of national and international tourists for the Dasara festivities. The Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) and the State Tourism Department are collaborating with Air India for this initiative. Waterfalls in Karnataka beckon tourists in monsoon

Jog Falls Unlike the monsoon seasons earlier, this year the tourism sector of Karnataka is experiencing a boom, instead of shortfall in the number of tourists. Incessant rains these days have revived the rivers and waterfalls, which lure a number of tourists during this off season. “Earlier, June and July were considered off-season. Now there is a change in the trend. People like to travel during monsoon.
