Indian Railways to have a new zone – South Coast Railway
On the formation of Telengana state, Indian Railways was required to examine establishing a new railway zone in the successor State of Andhra Pradesh. The matter has been examined in detail in consultation with stake holders and it has been decided to go ahead with creation of a new zone with headquarter at Visakhapatnam. Kalka-Shimla route to have glass-enclosed ‘vistadome’ coaches
Indian Railways will run a glass-enclosed ‘vistadome’ coach on the Kalka-Shimla route in the next ten days. New timings for express trains in Northen Railway
The frequency of train number 12583/12584 Lucknow-Anand Vihar-Lucknow Double Decker Express will be changed to four from two currently in order to accommodate the increasing number of passengers. Due to this change the timing of train number 15060 Anand Vihar (T) Lal Kuan Intercity Express, as tweeted by Northen Railway on Saturday. These changes will be effective from 3rd July 2018 on wards.

റൂര്ക്കി ഐഐടി നടത്തുന്ന പരീക്ഷണം വിജയിച്ചാല് റെയില്പ്പാതകളുടെ സുരക്ഷാ പരിശോധന ഡ്രോണുകള് ഏറ്റെടുക്കും. റെയില് സുരക്ഷിതത്വം പരമാവധി ഉറപ്പാക്കുന്നതിനു റെയില്വേ നടത്തുന്ന ശ്രമങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമാണിത്. പ്രതികൂല കാലാവസ്ഥയിലും വിദൂരമേഖലകളിലും കാര്യക്ഷമമായി പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന ‘പറക്കും യന്ത്ര’ങ്ങള് വികസിപ്പിക്കാനാണ് ഐഐടിയുടെ ലക്ഷ്യം. ഇപ്പോള് പാളങ്ങളുടെ സുരക്ഷിതത്വം ജീവനക്കാര് നേരിട്ടു പരിശോധിച്ച് ഉറപ്പുവരുത്തുകയാണ്. പലപ്പോഴും മാനുഷിക പിഴവുകള് അപകടങ്ങള്ക്കു കാരണമാകുന്നുമുണ്ട്. ഡ്രോണ് ചിത്രങ്ങള് അപഗ്രഥിച്ചു പാളങ്ങളിലെ പ്രശ്നങ്ങള് കണ്ടെത്തുന്ന സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യയാണു വികസിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. വിഡിയോ ദൃശ്യങ്ങളും നിശ്ചലദൃശ്യങ്ങളും പകര്ത്തും. പാളങ്ങള് തമ്മിലുള്ള അകലം, സ്ലീപ്പറുകള്, ഫിഷ് പ്ലേറ്റുകള് തുടങ്ങി ആവശ്യമായ എല്ലാ വിശദാംശങ്ങളും ശേഖരിക്കും. പരീക്ഷണം വിജയിച്ചാല് പാളങ്ങള്ക്കു പുറമേ ഒട്ടേറെ മേഖലകളില് ഡ്രോണ് സേവനം ഉപയോഗിക്കാനാവും. പദ്ധതി മേല്നോട്ടം, ദുരിതാശ്വാസ പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങള്, രക്ഷാശ്രമങ്ങള്, ആള്ക്കൂട്ട നിയന്ത്രണം തുടങ്ങിയവ ഉദാഹരണം.
