A long-awaited tourist train with a vistadome coach will start its journey from Saturday through the lush green forests and tea gardens of Dooars in north Bengal, a railway official said. The train between New Jalpaiguri (NJP) and Alipurduar Junction through Dooars has already become an attraction among tourists as well as curious locals with all seats booked for this weekend, he said on Thursday. Kalka-Shimla route to have glass-enclosed ‘vistadome’ coaches

Indian Railways will run a glass-enclosed ‘vistadome’ coach on the Kalka-Shimla route in the next ten days. It was announced by Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways and Coal, Government of India, on his twitter page. “A view of the glass-enclosed Vistadome coach in Kalka, which is scheduled to run on the Kalka-Shimla route in the next 10 days. Glass ceilings for Kashmir trains by May

Next time when you board a train in Kashmir, you would be awestruck watching the snowcapped mountains and the rural landscapes through the glass ceilings. With an aim to woo tourists, the Indian Railways is planning to introduce glass roof-top coaches on the Kashmir rail line.
